- I was wondering about this ... I have Tal plate and a few other items from that set.. I just saw that the plate itself gives 88% mf... is that added to the set bonus of 65% or is the total amount of mf only what I get from set bonus? also, is it worth socket the Tal armor w/ptopaz ?

The 88% MF from the armor is added to the 65% partial set bonus, giving a total of 153%.

Unless you need some different stat (resistances?), go for it. Easy 25 MF.

A ptopaz adds just 24% MF and BTW, ptopazes only add MF when put into the socket of an armor or a helm.

The usual combination for a sorc to get the MF bonus from wearing 3 parts of the set is armor+belt+amulet BTW, although my sorc wears the full set.

Haha now that Krischan mentioned it a common mistake i remembered in .09 was mf barbs stuffing ptopazes in there ali baba and forgetting that these add lightning damage not mf on weapons :grin:
