According to the Kicking Basics thread in the Assassin part of the forums, Kick damage is calculated with the following formula:

"Kick Damage Equation
MinDamage= (str + dex - 20) / 4 * (100 + skill_bonus) / 100 + BootMinDam * (100 + (str * StrBonus / 100) + skill_bonus + non_weapon ED + Aura_bonus) / 100
MaxDamage=(str + dex - 20) / 3 * (100 + skill_bonus) / 100 + BootMaxDam * (100 + (str * StrBonus / 100) + skill_bonus + non_weapon ED + Aura_bonus) / 100
This equation needs to be worked left to right following the mathematical order of operations. Drop decimals when you get them from division."

This formula includes OffWeapon %EDmg and AuraBonuses (Might etc.), however, just out of curiosity I had a look at the german Kick Damage Calculator yesterday:

(I was going to paste the text here, but for some reason I can't view thw site at all for the moment)

Anyway, according to that calculator and the formula they list, neither OffWeapon %EDmg or AuraBonuses work with kicks, even though the LCS indicates a difference in damage.

Which holds true?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know for sure (never built a kicker, or even really researched building one)... but as a general rule of thumb, if you ever want to say "The LCS disagrees with (insert generally reliable source here), who is right?", the answer is almost never going to be "the LCS".

Since this is a case of two generally reliable sources disagreeing, I looked it up with the more-or-less definitive source on all things kick-related- Ilkori's kick-bible. Ilkori recommends might mercs for kickers, which is good enough for me to say with near-certainty that Might works with kicks.

Yeah, I'd also really like to believe that OffWeapon%ED/Auras work with kicks, since (iirc) the kicking basics thread is signed by JRichard, who's assassin IAS page is tremendous. I just got a little stumped by the german calc.
Here it is btw: http://diablo2.ingame.de/tips/calcs/Kickcalc.php

"Die einzigen Möglichkeiten den Trittschaden zu steigern sind also:
1) steigern von Stärke / Geschicklichkeit (1 Punkt auf Stärke bringt in 1.10 mehr als 1 Punkt auf Geschicklichkeit, in 1.09 sind beide gleichwertig.)
2) steigern der Kick-Finisher oder des Chargers Tiger-Schlag / TigerStrike
3) in 1.10: stärkere Schuhe benutzen.
Auren und + xx%ED-Juwele in der Ausrüstung verstärken Tritte nicht, auch wenn sich der Wert im Charfenster ändert!"

I'm swedish, and my german is a bit rusty, so I ran it through BabelFish:

"The only possibilities the footstep damage to increase are thus:
1) increase from strength/skill (1 point on strength brings in 1.10 more than 1 point on skill, in 1.09 are equivalent both.)
2) increase the Kick Finisher or the Chargers tiger impact/TigerStrike
3) in 1.10: stronger shoes use. Auren and + xx%ED jewel in the equipment strengthen footsteps not, even if the value in the Charfenster changes!"

If the german calc does indeed say that off-weapon ED% does not work, then it is wrong. Off-weapon ED% does indeed work with DTalon.

Edit: Note that this doesn't include ED% to demons and undead though.
