Running around looking for a very specific item is going to drive you absolutely insane. For instance, Duriel and Baal have some of the best chances to drop a Mara's, but even then it's only about 1-in-3000 or so with *400% MF* (meaning if each run takes 5 minutes, which is a VERY fast run, you'll need to run for 250 hours- or 10 and a half days without eating, sleeping, or going to the bathroom- on average in order to find a mara's- and this is with 400% MF). And that's a reasonably *GOOD* chance to drop- Baal only has a 1-in-18,000 chance of dropping a CoA, which means you'd have to run him for 62 and a half days NONSTOP, on average.
Your best bet is to run around in good magic-find areas (Hell Baal, Hell Meph, Hell Diablo, Pits, any other mlvl 85 area) not looking for anything specific, but rather just seeing what you find. You might not find a Crown of Ages, but you might wind up instead with an Azurewrath, or a Dracul's Grasp, or a SoJ.
The game is known to never give you what you really want:smiley:. Just as SSoG said, it's almost always disappointing to target for a specific item for MF'ing. Just to give you an idea, I've done around 5000 hell baal runs so far with around 500MF, and I still haven't found a CoA, even though I've found 2 Fathom, 2 Windforce, 2 Astreon, 2 Griffon and many other rare items.
In general, hell meph is a good target for Mara, Arach and BK. CoA can only be found in TC85 areas, so Pits, Chaos and Baal runs will be your best choices.
Atma contains a dropcalc, try it out, lists chance for them to drop and not only who drops what.
