noob question

im switching to classic for a bit in order until i get a new expansion disk,but was just wondering. Synergies are not in effect in classic right?

thnx for replies but still a little confused.
do they still work if i havent downloaded the patch and am just playing single player? cuz the skills dont show that there are any synergies, however im still not at a high enough lvl to actually use all skills yet.

I am thinking you must be usin an earlier patch. If you want the synergies and stuff(and you are connected to the internet) Try going onto battlenet instead of singleplayer. The patch will automatically download and then you can exit battlenet and go back to playin sp if you wish.

In that case, they may not be. If you're not useing the current patch 1.11b, then the syenergies might not be there. It depends on how old your D2 classic CD is. Even ones bought today, new that is, start at patch 1.07 I believe, and syenergies weren't around then. So, if you could tell us what patch you are playing we could be helpful.

k, all makes sense now. It is an old cd -1.07, like 2 years old. But yeah, got a little confused. thnx for the help.
one last thing, on 1.07, summoned skellies dont autoheal after a while and just generally really crappy, like 1 pt in skelle always give only +1 to # of skeletons and onlyway to improve their 1-2 dmge and low life is to put pts in skeleton mastery... does anyone know if thats because of 1.07 or just because of classic.

It's 1.07. Skellies didn't get a strong boost until 1.10.
