So while mfing on my sorc the big man Baal decided he would be generous and dropped a Pcoa the other night, since I'm not really hurting for gear, I decided to just build a char to use it. After settling on trapassasin my gear looks like this atm:
weapon switch 1:
hoto (40fcr, 40res)
spirit (34fcr,55fhr, 35pr,35cr,35lr)

weapon switch 2:
5bo cta/spirit

Enigma (8dr)
pCoA(20s 30fhr, 15dr, 30resists)
Crafted Ammy (2skills 19fcr, 19resists)
Raven
ring (10fcr,17cr,11fr,11pr,11lr)
Trangs(20fcr)
Arachs (20fcr)
Shadow Dancers (30fhr)
9trap charms (with random mods none with life :sad2: )
some life/mana scs
torch(19/20)
Anni(19/13)

So my important stats:
143fcr,115fhr, 174cr,168pr,168lr,133fr,23dr

Now the questions
I'm already at the 102 fcr breakpoint, and a good chunk shy of the 174 breakpoint. Should I replace arachs/trangs for dungoes (more dr/life) and skill gloves?

Are ShadowDancers even necissary? Im not sure if I plan on kicking much, but if I go with treks I'm still at the 86 fhr breakpoint, and treks will add more life. How important is the extra damage from dancers vs treks when using dtalon for stuns?

What to put into my Coa? My thoughts:
2 15ias/15 res jewels : More resist is never bad, take that conv! With the 30ias I don't need BoS to hit max trap laying speed, which would open up Fade for even more resists and the all important max DR

2 Ber: 16 more DR. If I ber'd it, accompanied with dungoes would reach max DR. I would then need a level 16 BoS to hit the max trap laying speed break point

15ias/15res and 15ias/15req jewels : Would hit the trap laying breakpoint, and would give me more points into vita, and allowing me to use fade to reach the max dr.

That pretty much wraps up my questions. Sorry it's kind of long, just trying to be a thorough up front as possible.

Thanks in advance

25+18=43% DR when using Fade and 2x 15/15 ias res jewels in COA.

But 270 base allres ftw. xD

/methinks it's obvious.

You can lose the Arach and still hold the 102% fcr break. Which opens up space for Dungo's, rediculous craft belts and bb (When you're at EuScNl that is...)

err, o'ld mate Lister dropped me a nice coa (2/15/30/392) some time ago. i find it sits better on my charge/smite pally rather than on an assassin (i built a sin to wear it, then decided a circlet was a far better solution, so i built a pally)

i'd really like a 15/-15 to put in it........

So apparently in my calculations I was off somewhere, and if I double 15ias/15res i still will not be at 9frame trap laying speed. So I have to use BoS. So the question is then, using BoS do I double 15/15 anyway and use Dungos over arachs?

How important is the 9frame laying speed over 11 frames?

Since I am already well over the 102 fcr bp, should I replace my trang gloves for some crafted/rare gloves with skills?

he said a 15res/-15req ias not that importent since only applies 2 trap laying speed

How important is the 9frame laying speed over 11 frames?Vital. This is one of the main goals as a trapper.
It's also the reason I tend to disagree with hoto as a main weapon choice for trappers since it pretty much is a BoS only weapon, if you plan on using it for just BoS then its fine.

IAS needed on fade to have 9fpa traps:
Hoto flail: 89% ias
Spirit phase: 42% ias
Wizardspike: 63% ias

This makes spirit/wizardspike pretty much the only choice of weapons for faded w/s trappers, don't think about hoto unless you want to use BoS that duel. It's still a bit of a stretch to make those bps though, usually 15/15ias 08 valk is the solution. Shael in wizardspike of course.

If you really have your heart set out to use CoA on a trapper, its do-able I guess. 20ias/str/dex gloves could fill the void for the ias you're missing, as well as make up for that your amulet/ring have no +stats and you are needing that badly in your setup, since CoA is such a high req.

You still have the problem of not hitting 50%dr on fade, and no way to do that with your setup as is without sacrificing trap speed. =\
You could always just go to your stash and switch gear up depending on the opponent, use wizardspike/coa/iasgloves/spirit/fade for mass res stack, switch to hoto/coa/trangs/stormshield/bos for 50%dr (not to mention even at 50%dr/spirit still sucks compared to SS vs barbs/zons/chargers, its about that block/fbr, not just 50dr)
But then you'll have some issues with multiple opponents at once.

The other alternative is you settle for pure BoS with hoto/coa/dungos/spirit vs all. This will give you less res stack than a faded wizardspike setup but higher damage. 15/15 / ber CoA will give you 46%dr with 9fpa traps on fade with hoto. Or use spirit phase and berber coa for 50dr and less resists.

It's really your call at this point, depends on which opponents you wish to gear yourself best against.

You can see why most trappers tend to go with 08 valk if w/s (c/c users can get ias from claws and use circlet setups on fade) unless they are pure BoS users. It just simplifies the setups a lot, and gives a strong "vs all" where you can slap on SS have decent res stack/50dr and 9fpa traps on fade.

Are ShadowDancers even necissary? Im not sure if I plan on kicking much, but if I go with treks I'm still at the 86 fhr breakpoint, and treks will add more life. How important is the extra damage from dancers vs treks when using dtalon for stuns?Don't think dtalon will help this build much, doesnt have ow% for kicks to take advantage of, and fireblast is easier to stun with at melee on a trapper than try to kick through your opponents block. Really not much reason to use Talon, not to mention dtalon has higher bps to hit on fade for max kick speed. I'd say lose the dancers and put on the treks, this character doesn't seem made for kicking.

/asn rambling.
hope some of that advice helps.

his will give you less res stack than a faded wizardspike setup but higher damage. 15/15 / ber CoA will give you 46%dr with 9fpa traps on fade with hoto.

Is that right? If I use a 15/15 / ber in my coa, I dont see how I can hit 9fpa traps using fade and hoto.

As I mentioned earlier hoto is a BoS only weapon.

pfft typos

Yeah thats what I thought, but I read it a few times and was just wishful hoping I guess.

I think I'll go 15/15 ber with dungos/treks and ss/wiz in the stash.

Should I drop my trangs in my primary equip and get some skill gloves?
