If I re-roll an etherial rare weapon, will it stay eth with the new mods?

Actually that's cool because its a Dimentional Blade which I would upgrade to a Phase Blade, if I can roll any usefull mods.

Was wondering, since cubing eth Vampirebone gloves (magic/not rare) for the Blood recipe makes them non-eth after, for example.
