View Full Version : Prismasin Speculation

So yeah, I had this idea for a new Assassin build. I would like some input on the basics so I can go test it out.

Named the "Prismasin", this build is based on the "Prismatic" prefix on items which gives resistance to all elements. So naturally, this Sin will be able to utilize all elements.

Naturally one would think of a Phoenix Striker, but higher damage comes from the invisidual elemental chargeups. So I was thinking of just focusing on them.

I was thinking, max:

Fists of Fire
Claws of Thunder
Phoenix Strike

And one point in:

Blades of Ice
Cloak of Shadows

BoI is a one-pointer because it's not really that good for damage purposes, moreso the freeze target and area-of-effect Cold application.

Also, 20 in Venom to add to the "all elemental" theme, maybe?

So, final skill points so far:

20 Fists of Fire
20 Claws of Thunder
1 Blades of Ice
20 Phoenix Strike
1-20(?) Dragon Finisher (Depending on boots, Claw or maybe Tail or Talon)
1 Pointers (CoS, MB, etc.)
20 Venom
Rest in Fade / BoS

Any comments or critiques? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As far as equipment goes, I have a full Nat's set handy which I am going to test out for this build, seems like it's suited quite well for it.

It's not really a new assassin build (although I like the name!)... I'd rather skip the Venom and put some points in Death Sentry and Shadow Master... but I guess that would make it just like any other elemental MA assasin.

Actually, I would like to use ALL of the chargups with this build, not just the elementals. So maybe get rid of Venom, invest in Tiger Strike, and I'll have a point in Cobra Strike already... So whenever I need to heal I can just stack some Tiger/Cobra.

But the thing is, using all of the chargeups leaves me little room for other skills, like the Shadow Disciplines. I don't care about a Shadow because I'd like to make a build able to solo Hell without one. I do want to invest in Fade, though.

If you're not going to use a Shadow, I'd strongly advice you to make use of Mind Blast, especially since it'll tak some time before you can get all your charges up.

Yeah. I'm also considering maxing out (or putting about 10 points in) Cloak of Shadows, since I'm not a whiner about the duration, I'll just take everything out and move on, and by that time I can Cloak again.

I had one of these. I named it the "Swiss-Sin" since she could handle anything is the game, solo.

Main skills were phoenix strike and venom and dragon talon (all maxed).

Just use whatever charge the monsters weren't immune to with venom as your 'synergy'. I didn't put more than one point into boi or cot. I maxed mindblast eventually and had a very high level shadow master and Fade.

For gear I ment with rockstopper, upped gores, dracs, fort, and 2 bartucs with highlord ammy.

She made mince-meat out of everything (fire immunes were the hardest, since the metor charge on phoenix was the best), but ran really slow. That was the worst part, slow runs.

A real fun char to play...I dunno how she would do untwinked though.

Nats set and a bartucs would be nice. Low damage on the boots however. Next patch I say we are allowed to up set items!

P.S. : only one point ever in cloak. You want it to run out so you can cast it in a new area. One is all you need. Spend the rest in fade, claw mastery etc
