In a few threads I've expressed my frustration at trying to get my blizzard sorc to clear monsters as fast as the damage calculators indicate she should be able to. Specifically I've been astonished at the lack of increased killing rate of the blizzard sorc relative to my old meteorb sorc.
I've noticed that blizzard can seemingly "miss" stationary monsters in a way that requires careful recasting the next blizzard so as to not cast at the same tile as before but doing this seems to drop my kill rate to at or below that which my meteorb used to manage.
From my meteorb days I was in the habit of spamming a non timered spell at the monsters between casts of my timered spell and I've found myself doing the same with the blizzard sorc. This seems to aggravate the "missed" monster problem by freezing monsters under the blizzard such that many that would have taken damage end up instead being "missed" due to being frozen and stationary.
Obviously the fault may simply lie in my playing style and use of blizzard rather than any problems with a blizzard based build.
Does anybody have any advice for using blizzard so that this sorc can live up to her potential in clearing non immunes faster than a meteorb could?
I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet.
