Hi,

I am currently making an *almost* pure LF Zon, but am wondering about a 1-Point-Wonder skill for some alternative damage against Light Immunes, other than Jab.

My thoughts are:

Multishot - 2 Point Investment inc pre-req, with +Skills I get 16 Arrows. But due to LF based gear have no %ED, so damage will be based on the Bow and Dex multipliers - the Dex Multiplier will not be massive.

Strafe - 5 Point Investment inc pre req. With +skills I get an additional 75%ED from the skills.

Freezing Arrow - 3 Point Investment inc pre req. With + skills I get 240-250 Cold Damage, along with the damage from the Bow+Dex bonus. Although not massive damage, I like this as a second choice as it immobilises my foes while my merc and my physical damage kill them.

Bows: Either Harmony or Bruzia, or if I get a bit of wealth I'll use Ice if I go the Freezing Arrow route, or a Faith for the Multi/Strafe route.

I realise these are not huge damage ideas, I just want something to get rid of the occasional Light immune in Chaos. I would really appreciate any suggestions/critique.

My merc is a Prayer/Insight Merc.

Other gear with the bow will be:
Shako/Delirum (I like the confuse on Delirum for Strafe... nice safety choice. Also works well with Freezing/Multi, but for CtC Strafe is king)
+2 Zon Skills Ammy
Enigma
TGods
Gores/Cow Boots
+2Java gloves/20IAS with some Dex
12/10 Torch
Ravenfrost

I will have 70% Pierce on the Bow setup.

If you have the wealth, a Faith Amazon-only bow (GMB or Mat) with Strafe will pack some really serious damage; along with Strafe, you'll get a nice 1 pt wonder Guided Arrow as pre-req, and Multishot should get a decent bonus from +skills as well to be usable. I'd even put 1 pt at Freezing Arrow as it is really useful for freezing if you have the points to spare.

With Faith you have little dependance on IAS (fanat aura) or AR (it has ITD) so Strafe will work. If you have problems hitting bosses or champions (ITD doesn't work on them), simply use Guided Arrow on them as it always hits, like a spell.

However if you cannot afford Faith, get a Windforce, Eaglehorn or even a Harmony as they would work fine, just a bit slower.

IMHO physical damage > elemental damage, when it comes to backup in this case. I don't think other sources of damage can outdamage Faith with such a low amount of points invested.

just stick with javalin and use demon limb enchant charges. you already have jab which will deliver the fire damage very quickly. just make sure you're not iron maidened when you do it.
