I just made a pure trapper, currently in Norm doing baal runs. I was wondering what gear I should pick for MF'ing? And what areas are they good at running? I have never played assa before and this is SP, so no Infinity, Enigma ect ect...

Some simple gear:
Peasant crown/Shako (ptopaz)
2x +3 Trap Claws (Using weapon block of course) (shaels in on-hand one)
Viper Magi/MF armour
Goldwrap/String of Ears
Chance guards
2x Nagels
Boots ;P
Eye of Elitch
Yes, it will be slow. Yes, it will be very cheap.
Skills:
Traps + Synergies (and Fire Blast if you want)
Points for 45+ weapon block (not much)
1 Cloak of Shadows
1 Mind Blast
1 Shadow Master
Fade to taste

Two things matter while MFing with a Trapper: +Skills and MF. And a merc. That's it. I like a Shadow, but you don't need one. I also like a point in Blade Fury to help direct her (also not needed). Hell, I even ran Burst of Speed instead of Fade.
Where you run depends on your Merc, really. That, and whether or not you can tank Gloams (ugh). Without a source of Crushing Blow (merc*cough*merc), it will be very, very slow killing bosses. Cows are ok, but other characters (sorc/javzon) will be faster.
They really shine in places like Pindle, Shenk/Eldrich, the Pit (esp with Fire Blast to take care of pesky archers), and the Countess.
