It doesn't make them useless, it just makes them markedly less useful.

All poison damage is made up of two elements- damage per time, and total time. Venom changes the "total time" of all gear-based poison to .4 seconds, while leaving the damage per time untouched. If a poison dealt 10,000 poison damage over 100 seconds, that's the same as 100 damage per second for 100 seconds. With Venom, the duration would get changed to .4 seconds, turning that 100 damage per second over 100 seconds poison smallcharm into a 100 damage per second over .4 seconds small charm (or a 40 damage over .4 seconds charm).

By the way, I'm aware that such a charm cannot actually exist, I'm just using it as an example. For the most part, charms aren't going to have a high enough bitrate (or damage per time) to make their effect very noticeable in conjunction with Venom.

Yes, they are useless, SSoG said why, if you do the math you will see, the dmg is soooo small... shame realy... my WF-strafer loved her psn charms but now she uses Treachery... damn...
