Strafe and Arrow Consumption?

I know for each use of multishot - regardless of the amount of arrows on the screen - it consumes only 1 arrow from the inventory. What is it like for Strafe?

Do you need to max Strafe to use it effectively? or is 10-15 "enough" for most of the game?

Strafe uses up one arrow per volley.

i only have 1 hard point in strafe
the damage output from my now lvl 10 strafe is slightly lower than that of my multishot
when maxed i'd expect it to do quite a bit more
but then again, i only use it against skeletons, so it's fine for me
depends on what you're going to be doing with it, i guess
