RL: Had the ankle x-rayed. Not broken "Oh that takes aaaaaaggeees to heal" from the doctor in A&E who I thought was a passing child.
D2: Got a nice little line in TC3's and Eths going. Might do an auction of them at some point.

It's really only Thursday night here but I'm trying to help out the daily tradition.
RL: I'm fairly confident my friend was still drink for a good portion of today from her drinking adventures last night so she was quite entertaining and made a long day at school much more fun. By the afternoon we were in the pub on one of our breaks so that made the last class of the day better as well. We spent a good portion of our in-class time watching youtube video's on my laptop (thanks to the college's convenient full coverage WiFi)
D2: I started gearing up my Act 2 (Barb) for Skunk's tourny, not too sure how well that's going to go over but he looks like a fairly safe character so hopefully I can make it to Act 3. I haven't actually played D2 today thanks to a hefty chunk of CS:S time this evening.
Only 2 more classes to go before the weekend!

RL: Had the ankle x-rayed. Not broken "Oh that takes aaaaaaggeees to heal" from the doctor ...
6 months.
I've broken my ankle once, and 3 other very severe sprains along the way (my broken foot this past October was essentially a sprained ankle that put too much tension on my 5th metatarsal - avulsion fracture. ~3 months later, and I'm at 90+% - I still can't "plant" my foot in a high-impact situation; i.e. no running/jogging, and ski-jumps need to be small).
My experience is that it'll take 3-4 months to get where you really "trust" it, 6 months to heal to the point that it won't bug you at some time through each day, and 9-12 months to get to the point where you remember one day: "Hey, my ankle hasn't bugged me in days/weeks!!! :-)."
Although you obviously need rest, you should also try your best to stretch periodically to maintain flexibility. I've found that any non-bone injury in a joint actually heals faster if you try to keep your flexibility up (in other words, your muscles won't atrophy as much compared to if you completely immobilize an area and don't use it). Keep it light though - don't cause yourself extra pain or injury.
One more thing... when you're ready for normal footwear again, wear something that provides good, firm support. Don't go for vanity and wear your favorite pair of 'heels' right away, and if you're going to try walking down to the corner store, stay away from your flip-flops too. I find my climbing/hiking shoes to be best overall for support and healing.

RL. Speaking of damaged feet... mine are healing quite well from my x-country-skiing incident (cheap rental boots ). Still a ton of gauze & neosporin, and probably not up for skiing this weekend, but I can wear shoes again. Nothing more exciting going on other than work...
D2. I'll probably kill Pindle for an hour or two.
PS. It's only Thursday here - I might spam again if something exciting happens tomorrow.

RL - Extremely busy. Between work, the new GF, and just 'things that need doing' I dont sleep more than 4hrs a night since Dec last year. O well, no-one to blame but myself!
D2 - Almost no time for it. I'm trying to progress my toon through the MLD tourny, though I am unsure if he will be ready in 2 weeks time. Full clears take aaages, and I need all the exp and equipment he can get through a single pass. So far he only made it to the Arcane sanctuary, and if I dont put in some serious play this weekend he will not make it in time. It doesn't help that he still uses a 2 zeal attack:prop: , with 10 skills spare and ~70 stat pts @ lvl25. Will see how it goes.
Hope you have a good one

RL: ....really really hungover. Haven't been sick like that since I had alcohol poisoning... I don't think im gonna be drinking much at all on Australia Day. Going Bowling today too! Should be good.
D2: Played lots yesterday afternoon & wanna play for a few hours before I go bowling. Just mfing before I start my Frenzybarb- trying to work out what combo of weapons to use. Also not sure whether to cube my 2x Cham n make eBotDz, or use one of them for Pride.
Don't wanna rush into anything cos the chances of me finding more are almost nil.
no running/jogging, and ski-jumps need to be small).
Not going to concern me, I don't ever run.

Not acceptable to take that long to heal. I have booked off this weekend from work but after that, I am back to work. I cannot sit here avoiding day-time TV. Urgh. No wonder people who don't work are so dim.
Don't go for vanity and wear your favorite pair of 'heels' right awayI don't own any high heels. Unless you count the thigh high boots and they aren't everyday wear. :wink2:
Did a few pindle runs. Gained a couple of levels. Hmm suppose I could work on my Hammerdin later. Yes, I finally succumbed.

Pics?
RL: Cards tonight with Hunter. He's a trooper staying out with me till almost midnight.
D2: Playing some HC. Had several deeds already. Hunter druid in act 2, right outside town, LF/FA zon in normal Tristam. Grundy is doing okay thus far, and silas my punching pally is furthest along, having gotten his rubix cube. Is there a beginners guide to HC somewhere?
@DD: If your trying to teach someone how to play MTG, I suggest going to the wotc website and getting the tutorial program for MTG. They can't play against each other, but it teaches the basics. MTGO is also an option. They could play against each other with 9th Precons.

There is also this (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=519546) one in the HC forum, which ZappaFan just recently updated and it is quite complete. Which btw, is why I haven't re-written any of that one DD linked to.
