M'avina's Set

New to the Amazon class and I have some of Mav's set laying around. I figured that I would try making a bowazon. Is there any viable builds that use Mav's set or is it just a waste. Thanks in advance.

Mav's set is a wonder to the Frostmaiden (bowazon that uses Freezing Arrow as a main skill).

I have finished the game with a Mav set zon. The set is decent, the only problem is the lack of real damage in the bow. It can be done, if you're patient. If you want to use some of the set and use a WF or WWS as the boow you'll be missing out on plus to skils and resistances, and a little extra MF. But none of those should be a show stopper. Make a cold zon and enjoy!

i've created m'avina set zon this season (frostmaiden) and can say it's good fun but can't really hold its own in more than 4 player game, particularly in higher acts of hell, partly due to incredibly weak bow and partly because cold immunes are a big problem but unlike sorc, you can't just tele past them...

i was a bit disappointned in the set performance because i expected it to do at least as good as the other good sets (ik,trang,tals) but it turned out i was wrong

either way, it's a decent cow runner

Mav is a fun set. I've had a Mavinazon before on ladder and will probably start one in single player some time soon. Keep all small cold charms you find to increase your freezing arrow duration. Put one point in strafe.

Go light on hard passive points as the set has a lot of skills. Get some bow skillers if you can as those will boost your elemental damage and are cheap.

The set also has a little magic find so throw in a Gheeds to do some magic finding with her while you are having fun.
