Ya I read the stickys but want to confirm this.

Here's the formula to convert EIAS to IAS:
IAS = (120 * EIAS) / (120 - EIAS)

A quick example:
Strafe with lvl 15 Fanatism from Faith Grand Matron Bow.

1) 58 EIAS needed for 8/2 Strafe
2) GMB is [10] WSM bow so you will need 58+10 = 68 EIAS (you can add the WSM and EIAS like that)
3) lvl 15 Fanatism gives you 33 EIAS, so that takes it 68-33 = 35 EIAS needed
4) Use the formula: IAS = (120 * 35) / (120 - 35) = 49.4 = 50% IAS needed

My understanding is that with a Faith merc I only need 50% IAS to reach 8/2 bp on me and my bow using a Hydra or Crusader bow.

Is that correct?

I'm trying to make a spamazon. Basically I want to spam CTC crap all over the screen.

You need 39IAS to reach last strafe breakpoint with lvl 12 Fana on merc or 35IAS if you have lvl15 Fana on merc.
I use this: http://diablo2.ingame.de/tips/calcs/weaponspeed.php?lang=english

What's more important than Strafe speed is Normal/Multi/Guided speed.

You need 50% IAS with a level 12 Fanaticism to reach an 8 frame speed. You'll hit the 39% IAS needed for a 2 frame Strafe too.
You need 46% IAS with a level 15 Fanaticism to reach the same speed. Ditto with the 35% IAS needed for a 2 frame Strafe.

So it's pretty much the same, aim for 50% IAS regardless of Faith Fanaticism level.

Trust me, there are times where Multi and Guided are more effective and efficient than Strafe.

And thanks to Strafe's 4 frame NextDelay, Guided will probably do more damage against single targets than Strafe will. That's where getting just 10% more IAS, getting to 8 frames from 9 frames, will increase your overall damage output by miles.

P.S.: A little tip for ALL bowazon types: keep Magic Arrow on left-click instead of normal attack. With enough +skills it's completely free, it's got a higher AR than Normal Attack, and it gives you a way to take down physical resistant/immune enemies faster and more efficiently, if you lack some form of CTC Amp/Decrep. Even if it's not free, it'll be very cheap, so when you're out of arrows it's there to back you up. Just a thought.

I'm pure strafe because my whole objective is to spam CTC on attack and strike spells for loads of fun. Actually decided to drop the faith merc for even more spam. Giving a nice spamming polearm to an act2 merc.

Dragon armor, BOTD bow, Delirium...

already made this. Dragon and Delirium are great items, but why BOTD over Brand if what you're going for is max CTC?

The 50 chance to cast poison nova on a monsters death is way prettier than the bone spears. Plus with the BOTD I can shoot way faster which means more hydras and curses.

I'm using a Wrath on switch for the curses and to break immunities.

Merc is now using.

Gaze, Eth Trechery, with a Destruction eth CA.

23% Chance To Cast Level 12 Volcano On Striking
5% Chance To Cast Level 23 Molten Boulder On Striking
100% Chance To Cast level 45 Meteor When You Die
15% Chance To Cast Level 22 Nova On Attack

Fire works will be fun.

For rings I'm thinking Carrion and Wisp.
