just came back after nearly half a year.. just wanna check out wats the normal pub setup stats for a bvc? i tried searching n found blobs guide but i think its a little outdated due to the adding of torch & new runewords. Ive also gone through a few bvc topics in which some of them had input like base str & dex. Some of them stating like using arreats for the +str & +str belt etc

my current access to items:
coa,
griefz & beastz
doomz
arch belt
enigma(dusk)
maras

i remember ce olba had a topic which says xx/xx str/dex i think but i couldnt find it. Can any1 shed some lights? thank you

Widowmaker is pretty useless without Duress or Fortitude. This is because the amount of OW is very limited (45% at most), thus making it very ineffective. If you use plain Dracul's, the chance of you actually getting to trigger OW is 6.25% for each arrow. Compare that to the 58% OW with Duress, where you have a 14.5%, it's more than double.

If you still insist on using Widowmaker, you will only need enough STR to have CoA on yourself with dual Dooms, which, with perfect items, takes 67 base strenght, if you use Trang gloves. With Dracul's, you are at 52 base Strenght.

So, why not put an extra 11 for a HUGE boost in your flexibility? You only lose 44 life before bo, which can be gotten back by leveling up 2.2 times and putting the points to Vitality.

By the way, it's nice to see Thoridian agreeing with me once in a while instead of spamming random stuff or saying that whatever I say has no value since I've not played in a while.

Oh, and here is a topic of mcm explaining the stats, even though, I've done it too, multiple times.

Here's a link to one of my posts. It covers pretty much everything except strategies and explanations on stash gear.

Oh, I see Hal is online. If he is reading this, I have a question:
If I were to PM you with a beta-version of my BvC guide, containing most of the stuff in the single post that I just linked, would you sticky it? I was just thinking that it would prevent the same BvC questions coming up once in a week or so.

Yes.

Base: 67
Torch+anni: 40
Total: 107
Enigma: 67
Total: 174

However, as you see, it doesn't take Dracul's into account. This is because it allows a tiny bit more versatility.

i see i see so i just have to adjust if i dont have a 20 torch. just another question widow is mostly good against defensive players right?
so my pub setup w/o running to slash should be:
coa
enigma
highlords
2x doom
griefz/beastz
arch belt
trangs or drac?
gore ( i dont have access to resist boots yet)
raven frost
fcr ring? or raven?

Dual Raven Frosts. Never, ever mix any rings. It won't work.

As for the rest, looks good. Just that you should try to get resistance boots.

As for the gloves, it's up to you. Personally I like to mostly use Trang's. Trang's are useful because they allow the 10k AR with 40% FCR, and the lost OW is not so bad. Indeed, you lose quite a bit of damage, but if you are aggressive enough, it won't even matter. I still use Dracul's versus some opponents though. However, always, always use Trang's in TvTs. Why? Because of the versatility it allows. Plus, it's not cool if your team consists of a ES sorc, a bonemancer and a BvC, since you will have almost no chance to stay near your team members when you teleport 2 or 3 frames slower.

Not necessary, but it does have it's advantages.

Plus you have nothing else to put your points to, except Shout, which is pretty useless, as it only adds Zerk damage and bo/bc duration and a little bit of defense.

You see, Natural Resistances will add no more than 1-2 points even if you add the maximum of 7 points to it. As for Increased Speed, it will only be bad for you, since you will be whirling TOO fast, thus missing a hitcheck. And what else do you have left? Zerk? Useless. Shout? Explained already.
