best pvp build for a noob at pally?

hello, I haven't made a pvp pally yet and I wa sthinking about a pure smiter as my first pvp build. Ive heard they're good vs casters, good vs ubers, and they are just overall good pally pvp builds.

I was going to make a hybrid foh/smiter but felt that I needed a feel for the character before I was going to try anything semi-difficult. I also don't like the idea of an foh pally because they are just too simple.

so, am I making the right decision here?

Foh is probably the easiest skill to duel with, other easy options would be smite and hammers..

It all depends on your e-wealth. Smiter is a good build but has a severe resist problem unless you use the res aura(not good) or coh (eni>coh). That is if you are not rich, if you are 20 life 5all res or 20/11 scs FTW :smiley:

well my wealth is extremely extremely high since i've been playing for a while. Not to mention a plethora of wealthy friends who barely have time to play their insanely godly characters.

Not to sound cocky, but i have/can afford anything I need to make this a great character.

I was thinking about using a last wish for my weapon. Does the +17 to might stack with fanta on a ssmiter?

I have read a few guides, now can anyone give me a good gear scenerio i could use with last wish?

This is what I was thinking:

Helm: Coa
Armor: Fortitude
Shield: up'd um'd hoz
Weapon: Last wish
Rings: bul kathos + perfect raven
Ammy: highlords or maras
Boots: up'd gore riders
Belt: Dungos or something with ias

Does this seem viable?

you should either use ber ber coa or shako socketed with ber
I would say that enigma is the top choice for smiters, you do enough dmg with it while having eleport.
Last wish is not a good weapon - in pvp the best option is grief, in phase blade or in berserker axe it is a matter of taste and how much stacked ias you have.
I would use either mara's or cat's eye
I prefer waterwalks to gores for heir sexy dex and life stats. Tripple res rare boots are also an option.

Verdungo is a very good belt if you go with shako as bered shako, dungo and bered HoZ give you 49% dr.

okay thanks for the advice. I think I"m going to go with grief. I can't use engima because clan honor doesn't allow tele.

Also, i've heard that sancturary is a good choice as well for the shield if it is socketed in a zak shield. Would does do enough damage for smite?

Keep the Up'd HoZ, don't waste time with Sanctuary, I'd just stack resists with it, not to smite.
