baah, I guess it's just my too agressive play style. You know, that many years of mfing leave permanent brain damage i suppose :brainiac: . A real bummer. I just shopped a +2 BH, +2 Conc and 10 FCR Grand Scepter (Woot!) from Drognan. Just like in the old classic days.

I am always superscared that some tiny little bug is going to poke me after I killed that big worm and got poisoned down to 1 hp, I always open a tp asap and heal at atma, then go back to claim the staff :P At least in hc. *brr* thatpoison makes be shiver!

RIP factory. That definitely brought a smile to my face.
I was feeling pretty mad with myself after losing my enchantress last night (see the "Instant Deaths" thread), but this helps me feel better. It's good to know even experienced and skilled players can have "what the @#$! was I thinking?!" moments like these.

I found out this morning that NM Mephy's Ice Ball spell + Bremm's leftover Conviction + 600 life Barb = dead Barb. :tongue: Luckily he's SC so it only cost me in the vicinity of 400k gold, but it was his first death.
Coldworm's always CE, isn't she? And yeah, that poison's a killer, even in 1.09. That must be where Achmel shops for his breath mints. :wink:

Yeah, that poison hurts, but poison won't kill a char. Coldworm could drop you to 1 HP quickly and something else could finish you off easily but this was coldworm, had to be the CE death blast.
Anyways, I blame it on that char name.

Bugger, what a way to go. My condolances.
A week or two ago I knocked off my level 85 HC trapper by sseeing if I could run through a whole group of blood lords on my way to Meph, forgetting I was wearing MF gear and her resists were shot to buggery. A rain of meteors and fireballs killed her so quick I couldn't even gulp a big purple.
As you say tooo many years of SC!

Yeah, that poison hurts, but poison won't kill a char. Coldworm could drop you to 1 HP quickly and something else could finish you off easily but this was coldworm, had to be the CE death blast.
Anyways, I blame it on that char name.
Actually I've had mercs die in town due to poison (lame), but yeah, the poison itself won't kill your char. I remember the first time I died (indirectly) due to Coldworm's poison back in Classic - I had killed her and all her buddies (or so I thought) so I didn't bother going back to town to heal since I knew I'd only be dropped down to 1 HP and would just head back after collecting all the stuff that dropped. I had just picked up the last of the gold and the staff when one of the big bugs, which had apparently been injured and burrowed during the fracus, popped out in front of me and killed me with one little poison loogie. :rolleyes:

bad gg factory,
a year ago i had a similar experience with a windy in act 2 hell (fangskin) just the SC mindset takes over i had actually killed a FE cursed boss, fangskin was the same basically, 2 cocky and ended up dead, it hurt bad :P
