I'm curious whether it's worth it to spend 1 point into Battle Cry for BvB battles. With +skills doing the rest of the work you can easily get a lvl 6 or more Battle Cry, which would net you -60% target AR and -30% target damage. This seems like a pretty big bonus for 2 skill points.

That's %60 and &30coming off their combined %ar/%dmg from skills. In the end, it'll be a trivial amount of negation.

You're best off hitting the other Barb instead of getting hit while trying to land a bc.

Battle Cry reduces damage and *defense*, not AR. Taunt reduces AR, but doesn't work in PvP.

Battle Cry is handy against characters or players that don't have any %Enhanced Defense, but decidedly less useful against characters (like Barbarians) with lots of it.

Could you explain it in more detail? Are you saying they just subtract the numbers from their ED? I thought it was more of a total reduction. As in, a -30% to their total damage after all skills and equipment. Same with defense.

EDIT: whoops. I typoed in my original post. I meant defense, not AR

Taunt works in PvP.

I use Battle Cry all the time in dueling (1 base point) and it does have a noticeable difference in chance to hit. The hard part is landing the curse on the other Barbarian or Smiteadin, so I suggest using it like Hammers and creating a "Battle Cry field" or using it in combo with Whirlwind by using Battle Cry first then seamlessly switching to Whirlwind to defend yourself from a reprisal from your opponent.

I've even used it against Hammerdins where I would otherwise hit less often. If I battle cry repeatedly and the Hammerdin teleports next to me the curse will be on him so all I have to do is whirlwind away from the Hammers. I get hurt doing this but it really seals the Hammerdin's fate because my hit is virtually guaranteed.

For players without %Enhanced Defense (casters wearing CoH or Treachery) it could be more effective, but it's not like you can't hit them.
