how many ar gc do i need for my bvc? Also, can they take on smiters? Finally, is it worth using widowmaker? I have one but im not sure if i should pump dex just to use it

Put Hel into your Widow to lower it's requires. And yes, I think it's definately worth using it. Very handy vs hammerdins.

As much as you need to reach ~10k ar with pub setup.

Yes it is. If you wanna have easier times vs hammerdins (and some other classes like and people REALLY playing defensively) then u simply have to do that...

It would be good to have it maxed.

By "yards" I take you mean the yards in the skill description. Those yards are the range of the jump, not to knockback. For the knockback's range, you will have to calculate it manually. However, let me say this: between lvl 19 and lvl 30 Leap, the difference is half of a screen, pretty exactly. 19 gets everything on your screen, 30 (20 + gear) gets everything in a range of your screen and a hfl more, so in order not to be knocked back, they need to be at least two full teleports away from you.

Actually, I would say 3-4* 13x/3x's rather.

i have 1 point in increased speed but it is lvl 12 with my gear. do i need more points here?

What the level of the skill is after gear does not matter in any skills except Leap.

Having 2-6 points is considered worthy. Some consider only 2-3 points because of it giving the maximum benefit per point before adding additional points does not give huge returns anymore. However, 6 would allow you to have the 40% FRW with some gear changes, which the 2-3 won't allow.
