Hi. This is a real newcomer question. Havent played in many years so now i discovered i don't remember much at all.

My question is:

How do i edit the diablo2 desktop shortcut so i can access the command line (or prompt) ingame? I seem to remember -cmd like this:

"c:\programs\diablo2\diablo2.exe" -cmd

It's not working. What am i doing wrong? I think the command line is accessible by the §-button on keyboard. How do i do it?

I'm thankful for every advice.

-glide -glide use glide video mode
-opengl -opengl use opengl video mode
-d3d -d3d use direct3d video mode
-rave -rave use rave graphics modes, might be Mac only. (not sure it works)
-per -perspective turn Perspective mode on,available only on full screen non-ddraw mode
-lq -lowquality decreases the quality of graphical aspects of the game, therefore speeding up the game
-gamma set gamma to
-vsync -vsync might be turns visual syncronizing on
-fr -framerate set frame rate to
-skiptobnet skip to bnet
-notitle skips to show title
-ns nosound disable all sound
-direct direct load data directly from disk

And then there is ingame battle net commands. type /help

Thanks alot, very good to get a listing of the commands.

Still, is there an option to turn on the ingame command box by pressing the § key? I'm pretty sure it was an option when i played last v1.10. I don't mean the chat box or message.

Maybe that option is removed? I can't let go of this question

If you mean the console, there is no such thing available in diablo2.

Mine is located to the left of the 1-key on keyboard.

Yeah i must have been thinking of the console, been mixing it up with another game i think.
The reason i asked is i wanted to use the /players x command when playing by myself. Don't get it to work in chat box.

Thx for all replies.

The /players x command only works in single player, and not when playing solo on Battle.net. Could that be the reason it's not working?

I know morrowind open the console with the button to the left of the 1. That button the grave accent (`) and tilde (~) key for me.
