My polearm barb needs help

Im not really a rich man jsut got lucky on friends quiting and giving my thier accounts.


What my polearm babr uses now

1.Arreats
2Chains of honor
3.Bonehew (lol)
4.2 raven ring
5.Gores
6.lava gaut Gauntlets
7.barb torch
8.1 mastery gc
1.comabt gc

I like playing a polearm barb but only polearms i like is what th bonehews look like i feel wierd using a scythe looking one

I got the runes for botd but only weapons that make botd are
giant thresher and great poleaxe

Im think of remaking a axe barb
Botd weapons here (2 handed)
Chaimpion axe
Glorious axe
Gothic axe
Great Axe
Giant axe
The one with the highest dmg b4 botd is gloirious
Now the chances of finding a eth 6 socketed gloriuos axe is crazy

Should i jsut wait to get ahold of a eth zerker axe 6 socketed botd it.
And use a shield(this is a ww/concentration build)

I jsut like the 2 handed weapons
If i use a shiled shoudl i get a high def spirit for the skills and resist?

Well if u really want to make a BOTD in a 2-handed axe then out of the bunch u mentioned i would select Champion Axe because the breakpoint for fastest 2-h WW is -60 speed and only a BOTD Champion Axe gets to lwwp and IIRC it looks cool too! Other than BOTD i could think of an ethereal Oath in feral axe which would hit lwwp. If you do wish to have shield then spirit is one of the worst choices as +skills/resist aren't nearly as useful as high block/dr which is the main reason a barb would use a shield for ^^ Also i would switch out Lavagouts for LOH or even a pair of 10%cb crafted gloves Other than BOTDs , a nice Tombreaver Cryptic Axe isn't too shabby too in PvM. Bonehew is just fine, don't worry. Try and get highlord's amulet and swap arreat's for gui's set helm. Also, 2 ravens are not needed. 1 is enough. Make the other a leecher. Finally, lava gout sux. Use laying of hands/ghoulhide depending on area.

[Darker Realm]

Use Ik Gloves + Ik Belt. More IAS, More Damage, More Dexterity, More Defense, More Resistances. Ditch the Bonehew, I've had a P Bonehew (320%ED Amn Shael'ed) on my polebarb for months and it sucked till I switched to eBotD Great Poleaxe.

IK gloves?? Sorry, but that's an horrible choice. Especially when laying gloves go for 6 gems.
