Hi all.

I'm probably overlooking something in the most retarded way possible but I can't seem to "perm" my new mules anymore... I used to be able to do so by havbing the char parked in a game somewhere for a couple of hours, but for some reason that ain't workin' no mo :'(

Since I'm not really playing on a day to day basis the 10 days expiring poses quite a problem for me... I'm already as poor a player as they come and loosing all my runes or gems because my character expires would be quite a setback :badteeth:

it only takes 2hrs to perm a mule, whenever you swap stuff onto it leave it in the game for a few minutes, itll perm eventually
or worst case just enter a chat channel every couple days

Well, that's what I used to do, but for some reason that doesn't seem to perm my mules anymore...

Entering the lobby or a chat doesn't perm a character, you have to be in a game for 2 hours. However, when he runs out of these 90 days after he got permed, it's enough to enter the lobby to reset him to 90 days. Just don't do it too quickly (wait 15-20 seconds per character), else you will be disconnected.

To perm the character, get him stuck in the Rogue Encampment: Go to north to the stack of firewood and click on the stash. It will need a few tries, however.

If the game crashes, the time in the game doesn't get added to the play time AFAIK.

Ah,
that might be the evil do-er.

Thx!

Yes, I had that a couple of times with my mules. I parked them for clearly more than 2 hours (something like 3 hours) -> crash -> "expires in 10 days" :undecided:

And personally I never put anything on a mule that is not permed, a few reitred chars and a small amount of 2hr permed mules is what I use atm, if I however are to perform a large trade in the future I might have to go for some unpermed mules for a while, but I always attempt to have all my chars perm at all times.

Also, if you don't perm your mule in the first 48 hours after creation, sometimes the mules become bugged and can never be permed. I had one character who I tried perming 4 days after I created him and he never permed. It became sort of a personal challenge for me to see how long I could leave him in games without perming. He logged 40 hours of game time and never stuck.
