DClone question

Hey, all. I'm more or less new to this forum (posted in it a dozen times or so in the half-year that I've been a member, I think), but I'm not new to the game: I have a lvl 64 frost zealot on bnet. Anyway, got a question about DClone hunting. I've read the guide and everything, but I'm still a little unclear on one point. Could someone gather, say, 150 SOJs and pop a channel simply by selling them all? In other words, can users turn any channel into one where DClone will appear, or can only select channels have that potential?

Forgive me if the question is noobish, but I am, as I say, a little unclear (and I could really use an Annihilus...:wink3: )

Nobody really knows how much SoJs need to be sold to pop Dclone. But yeah, theoretically anybody with enough SoJs can go on to a random server and sell it to pop it.

Not knowing your set-up I could be way off base but he's a tough nut to crack. I'd hate for you to gather all those SOJ's and then not be able to smack him down. I figure hanging in the channel (per the guide) or lucking on to hell games would be a better ploy than gathering SOJ's - seems it's in the 1000's before he wants to come around?

Course if you have a decent friends list I'm sure a group would be fine...

I've had him show twice in 2 weeks without even trying on West? Too bad all my characters suck :rolleyes:

The counter is usually in the 1000's, but that's the total of all SoJs ever sold on that server since the last counter reset. The number of SoJs that causes him to spawn is somewhat random, but usually between 90 and 150. That means, if the counter is at 6,000, then he's already probably spawned 50 times on that server.

DClone has been walking a lot recently. Some people made some very public posts on another board teaching people how to dupe, and since then there have been hundreds of amatuer dupers/jerks running around lagging the hell out of battlenet for everyone (that's why East has been almost unplayable recently). Anyway, people have been duping tons of SoJs and dropping them all over the place. I've had sever DClones appear recently. Just hang out in Hell games and you'll get one sooner or later.

Thanks. I play on East, and you're right, it has been insane. I lost a +17 all res/+ 1 PnB skills / +54 AR ammy due to a server crash.

But thanks for the tip. I guess I'll just hang around in Hell games and take my chances. That and find some powerful friends...
