View Full Version : Best to imbue
Hi
I have a buttload of imbue quests unused, and was looking for input on what type of things I should imbue. I was thinking that circlets and whatnot would be a good idea. My characters don't need anything in particular, just looking for something to sell.

I ONLY ever imbue circlets for the selling, and I wait until I'm level 85-90 to do it, seems to get the best results. Just imbued one last night for +2 MA and a bunch of other sweet mods.
by circlets do you mean the type (circlet, coronet, tiara, diadem), or just circlet?

I imbue diadems, and pray for some godly hat.
I think I read somewhere that circlets can not end up with the most rare affixes or suffixes, but all other circlet class helms could.
Anyway, best to imbue would be either circlet class helms (coronet and up), and maybe even druid helms/barb helms for nice skills and stats.
I'd go for circlet class anytime though.
diadems can spawn any mods even at ilvl 1, so you can imube those with a lvl 8 char for just as good chances as a lvl 90+. The other ones also have lower lvl req for spawning the good mods iirc, but don't know what lvls you'd need for them.
You can also reroll a diadem with 6 pskulls any number of times because of that.
As with the other guys, I use the quest to imbue circlets and diadems.

Minimum ilvl for getting any affix:
Diadem - any
Tiara - 77
Coronet - 82
Circlet - 87
Imbuing generates an item with ilvl = charlvl + 4

Souldn't it be the statistics forum, why did it end up in community
I'm a bit of an oddball, but I always imbue class specifics, or anything capable of getting staffmods. The reason why is simple: there's no real advantage to an imbued Diadem compared to any other diadem. They all have the exact same affixes available, so you might as well just reroll with PSkulls. On the other hand, anything with Staffmods *DOES* have an advantage- when imbuing, you are more likely to get more than one staffmod, and each staffmod is more likely to get the maximum possible bonus (+3). As a result, imbued wands/scepters/pelts/primal helms/orbs/katars wind up with the potential to be a lot godlier than their normal rare brethren.

Umm, yes. Better try the statistics forum...
Regarding staffmods, an advantage of imbuing is that you have control over the new ilvl, so you can apply it with a low-level character and get staffmods from tiers which are normally not possible on items which only drop in high-level areas. I didn't know so far that the chance for +3 is higher when imbuing. I always thought it just generates a rare item like any other of that kind and ilvl.

Diadem is the best one imo.
