1. I have 100% damage reduction (is this even possible?) from equipment? Am I immortal?

2. I have "poison length reduced" by 100%? Am I immune to poison?

1. No, percentage based DR is capped at 50%.
2. Not sure, but I'll venture a guess of no.

Also, DR% is only for physical damage. Elemental damage can still hurt you.

I figured probably not, but it was worth a try!

They should really tell you this stuff...I was gonna try a 100% DR char and put no points in vitality... >sigh<

slightly off topic, but another question:

do +skill damage items stack? I'm trying to make an uber-poison necro and want to combine bramble and trang-oul's gloves. Will this work?

DR + damage absorbtion (eg: lit absobtion like on tgods belt) might make for an interesting char. If you could get crushing blow in there it would be interesting.

For the record, everything is capped at 95% maximum or lower. There is no true 100% anything. Unless it's MF.

That generally applies to defensive things only. For example, there is no cap on the chance to deal crushing blows, deadly strikes etc., although you don't have a benefit from more than 100%.

It's possible to get close to immortal against most things by stacking PDR and MDR, but you'll never truely be immortal against everything at once.

by staking high res + some straight absorb you can get immune to fire, cold and lightning in pvm, poison should be negetated with 200% PLR (hell has a penalty of 100% so you need 200)

Magic damage can never be completly resisted, only energy sheild + MDR/high regen can come close.

physical damage, same as magic.

All kind of monsters, minions included are able to get immune.

AFAIK there's no limit to the immunity of a minion, if it was possible, although not, you could actually combine a shadow warrior level 20, with a fade level 20, and more + skills than possible, and then let her cast fade with a level 60 fade, this would make her completely immune against everything except magic damage.

For magic damage, if high enough, you can't get anything immune in any way.

AFAIK PLR is capped at 75%, and thereby 175% in hell.

Poison length reduction is capped at 75% AFAIK, so with the penalty in hell, it doesn't make sense to have more than 175% - which is very hard to achieve anyway.
