Question about Runewords

I see alot of people usually use runewords in Ethereal Armor and weapons. If you put one in a Ethereal piece of gear will that make it repairable?

No, it does not.

However, some runewords have the indestructable or self-repair mods, making them ideal for ethereal items. Also, items used on mercenaries do not lose durability.

sometimes people make runewords without one of these mods for use of a mercenary

Also keep in mind that the cube recipe for restoring armor does not work for ethereal items either..
