Is there a guide somewhere on where to quick level in classic?
If not, please help me out.

get a godly chant. norm stony creek with a bow 1-5 stony/trystam/dark wood

cats starting at lvl 10, arcane/tomb runs lvl 15-20.

from 20-25 norm cows. nm cows 25+, or as Zax suggested, hell cs runs if you can stay alive long enough in them to not annoy the cs-ers with your death's spamming the screen.

Just play through the game... A couple friends and I played through Normal in one night, and finished Nightmare/Hell the next... Started from scratch, but sadly our characters have since expired. Meh.

Even though he might be referring to LoD, Niortimus has a point. Why not play the game rather then skip it. Or you might be better off playing progressquest(.com) in stead. :)

How I roll...

With an Enchantress:

Wep- Dagger
Shield- (Pelta Lunata) Buckler

(points into Vitality will go a long way)
clvl1-3 Cold Plains
clvl4-6 Dark Woods
clvl7-10 Tamoe Highland / The Pit
clvl10-12 The Sewers
clvl13-15 The Sewers of The Arcane Sanctuary
clvl15-20 Tal Rasha's Tombs (switch wep to Raven Claw Long Bow for this)
clvl20-25 (Normal) Cows
clvl25-whenever (Nightmare) Cows

Without an Enchantress:

Helm: Biggen's Bonnet or a cap with two chipped or flawed rubies.
Amulet: Nokozan Amulet. (switch to Angelic Wings after The Sewers)
Wep: Hellforge Hammer (switch to Civerb's Cudgel at level 9) (switch to Raven Claw to kill cows).
Armor: Arctic Furs Quilted Armor (switch to Isenahrt's Case Breast Plate at level 8).
Shield: Pelta Lunata Buckler.
Gloves: Bloodfist Heavy Gloves (you can switch to Death's Hand when battling Andariel for poison resist and reduction).
Belt: Arctic Binding (switch to Hsarus' Iron Stay at level 8).
Boots: Hsarus' Iron Heel.
Rings: Angelic Halos.

clvl1-14: Join a crowded game. Run from the camp to Catacombs level 4, killing whatever isn't a fallen / carver / dark one (they give little exp). If the exp is too little from an area's monsters, bypass all monsters 'til the next area. Remember to put points into Vitality!
clvl15: Rush through act 2 to get to the tombs.
clvl20: Look for cow games. Use Raven Claw to kill cows fairly quickly even without enchant.

i like gear (progressively): chipped amethyst cap for sorc, arctic furs&binding, hsarus boots&buckler, broc&gnasher, nagels, angelic&death's, tarn&sback (ice blast exception)~~
for barbs: arctic furs&binding, dual gnasher, sigon gloves&helm&boots, nagels, angelic, sigon belt, tarn~~
i admit i have fun just gearing them, if u dont bother tristrun with someone
i do tristruns until 13, go kill andy, join some a2 and kill progressively until lvl 20
(love scarabs for their exp, especially uniq with servants), then cow until 30, hell cs or nm cows to 50, then hell cs

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned what I consider the ultimate low-level starter weapon: Khalim's Will, the fully-assembled version. It has no requirements, is very fast, and has good lightning damage. You have to be careful to mule it off before finishing Act 3 or smashing the orb, but that is as about as much trouble as muling in and out other gear.

Hmm... with enchant the best starting weapon is ofc any bow you can use, at level 6 use deaths for 30% ias then at lv 16 use twitch, with a ravenclaw you are cappable of killing nm cows in 8ppl game, but ofc level to 20 then normal cows to 25/26 then nm cows although i like to alternate between nm cows and nm flayers they give very good exp upto lv 45.

My low level twinked setup uses
cathans mask and ring for +10 str mainly but some resist at lv 11
angelic amulet and ring for life at lv 12
Deaths gloves and boots for cant be frozen and 30% ias at lv 6
gorefoot for 20 increase run walk at lv 9
angelic armour to lv 12-16 then twitch
any crappy bow to lv 15 then ravenclaw
the beauty of this set up is you dont need to add any str except for a sorc, but you could use 2 cathans ring with amulet then switch to helm to give you +20 str.
