Xpac items do not exist in classic as you point out. That is why he underlined classic when he bid him welcome :rolleyes:

but still.. if the orginal pster states hes/hers realm etc i can offer my help on europe ladder.

i got help from this forum (thnx all, you know who you are) and i feel like passing it to others who feel like joining the classic world of d2! :girly:

If you are playing classic(you might want to fill that out in your profile) and your necro is a summoner of sorts, then you should start off acquiring a +2 necro skills wand (Either one of the uniques, a rare or a shopped one) and then just look for a better one, more specific to what kind of necro you are making.

You check at Akara if she has a wand, then walk out of the town(if there's nobody else in that town) and walk back in. Akara will have changed her inventory entirely and you can check for a better wand again.
Just keep doing that until you get fed up with it or find a perfect wand.
Every time you see a better wand, buy it, even if it's only slightly better.
Make sure you bring lots of gold to do this, cause wands can go up to half a million gold(be glad you're not shopping for armors, they go above a cool million). This is often referred to as shopping and you should just do it every now and then until you get a wand you are happy with.

For fast shopping be sure to put up a cow level portal next to akara. Really speeds up the process :azn:

Note that you will need a certain level before the shops will start to sell +2 wands to you. But if a high level char looks at the shop first, you may just get lucky and find a +2 wand in the inventory of the shop.
I think the level req on a +2 necro magic(blue) or rare(yellow) wand is 42.
