Rate my wind druid

Not the greatest druid and probably not the best build, but this is like my first successful character past 80.

All he can do is Shenk runs in hell and all nightmare runs, I want to do Chaos runs to for drops but his just to damn slow at killing. Druid is my favorite class I wouldn't mind making a new one if the stats/skills aren't properly done. Everyone is telling me to get Ele GC's I don't have that only gheeds and some resistance gc's.

1) Get skin of vipermagi armor. A low one is dirt cheap
2) Nice amulet :smiley:
3) Try to get at least waterwalk boots if not trecks
4) Try to get some 10% FCR rings or if not at least a dwarf star(more life)
5) If you can get your str up to 156 get a spirit monarh
6) It's a bit late but summons are a good ideea to shield you.(wolfs or bear)
7) What's your merc using? trow a insight on him(Act 2 merc) if you have problems with mana.

Oh yeah should have posted merc, I use the HP regen one from act 2. Hes not bad. Good at surviving.

I'll try to find some rings, been doing a bunch of runs.

yes, even any spirit sword would be better than earthshaker since it grants 2 skills which also means 2 to oak and other summons.

You need to upgrade the armor, if enigma is not available vipermagi would be a decent second choice. As mentioned before get some fcr rings, you want to hit 99 fcr and 99 fhr if possible.

Elemental skillers would not hurt you either :smiley: As for your merc a cheap setup would be insight polearm, tal helm and durie's shell or shaftstop.

Get rid of the armor. Even a 4os one with rubies in it would be better then what you're using now.

yes, if anything, put 4 eth's in it.

ith's dmg to mana works weird... when it says X% dmg taken goes to mana, it still does full dmg to you, but that % to your mana. its odd.

spirit sword/vmagi are good choices.

You will need to get your tornado and hurricane damage up considerably to have fun in Chaos runs. Look for stuff that adds skills such as SOJ, HOTO, Spirit shield, arach, enigma/COH/Valor, +3 elemental ammy, elemental gcs, torch and anni (thats at least 10 or more skill points your will need).

A CTA on switch will help with 1 more skill plus life and mana boost.

Magefist/Trang gloves and/or Marrowwalks boots will help with mana regen.

You might also want a different merc - Act 2 Holy Freeze or Defiance - Insight, Infinity or Reaper's Toll. You could also try an Act 1 fire rogue with Faith or Brand.

I would also go with a Bear as a helper.

A stealth armor might be a good option , deffinatly better then what he currently has on and is very easy to make.

Ya I figured that, but I know that when I was in those shoes, I really wanted to know what the upper limit was in order to have something more concrete to shoot for.

Yeah I'm not exactly rich as hhhrobi said, pretty much what you see in those screens are my top gears. But I'm doing what runs I can do and hoping for a good drop. :)

Thanks for all replys, I think I will switch out my merc with freeze (Is freeze useful because hurricane freezes?) Maybe a defiance then. If I find the time I may re-make and go with bear instead of creeper, because creeper isn't big all to much of a help.

holy freeze doesnt freeze, but it does chill, everything.. very useful for any char :azn:
the hurri and HF will have no effect on each other
