Hi all,
I'd like to ask you for a little help with my fury druid weapon. I want to build this druid for ubers.

From level 24 I have been using Bonesnap (unique maul) and killing monsters with this weapon was really fun.
On nightmare, I have upgraded this weapon to exceptional Bonesnap (the damage is amazing) and though the str requirement was quite high, I invested the points. Killing monsters with this weapon is really great fun (on level 56 everything except bosses dies on one or two hits). Now the question:
1) shall I use some unique elite mace on hell? They have quite big str requirements, but the damage is really impressive. I have Windhammer (with 60%IAS and 50%CB looks very attractive). Or shall I look for The Cranium Basher? It has much better mods, though the speed is not so good.
2) shall I use some runeword weapon?
3) or shall I use another type of weapon (not mace)?

Please, share your experiences with playing fury druid.

Thanks.

If wealth isn't a problem, something like a Eth breath of the dying great poleaxe or Tomb Reaver is a really nice weapon for a fury druid. However, if you don't have access to the means to get one of those, another great suggestion would be a Ribcraker staff, socketed with a sheal rune and up'd if possible. The ribcraker has alot of nice mods, namely 50 fhr, 50 cb, and 50 ias. If you socket it with a sheal rune it gets bumped to 70 ias, and since only on weapon ias counts for fury, you will be attacking quite fast. Not to mention it doesnt req nearly as much strength.

There is actually even a guide for using the ribcraker to fight the ubers, its located in the sticky. http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=517606

IMO, speed beats out the damage you may get from the mace class. More hits = more damage over time. Plus, you gotta love the thacking sound the ribcraker makes.

This however is only addressing two-hander weapons, one handers and shields are another matter. Perhaps stating realm, ladder/non-ladder, and wealth, we could be of better help.

Using Ribcracker staff is really interesting idea. Thanks for the tip.
I read the guide and have another question - how can this druid kill a monster with physical immunity? Without fire claws or rabbies, second weapon with amplify damage is the way?

I'm playing on Europe realm, ladder. I started to play a month ago, so still a bit poor. I have a lvl70 necro for magic finding, so I hope I will gain some wealth soon :)

I've been known to use a glimmershred when poor and desperate. :P Another weapon is the lacerator axe which casts amp dam also.

Good luck and good hunting!

FYI - My merc uses a Reapers Toll so that I can crush non-PIs and easily handle PIs.

From the Guide:

Merc: He's not going to last very long, so I won't really elaborate. I didn't even take mine into Tristram. In case you are curious, my merc has for equipment a non-eth Fortitude, non-eth Reaper, and eth Shako. It's a weird set-up that uses what I already had available, but I really should get him a Gaze when I get a chance.

P.S. Finally got the Gaze. :)
