View Full Version : I just need to let off steam. Whine thread.
I just feel like whining a little...
Wanted to start a new char this morning. I started the game, picked a character, named it and created a game....or so I thought. Failed to Join game! This is not funny anymore, this happens every time. I did not get banned so such yesterday so I do not have any penalties or similar to wait for.
As probably everyone else, I'm fed up with being able to find a nice game to join, seeing that the quest you need has already been completed, exiting game, wait a minute, try a new game, quest completed here as well, exit and out, wait, try again.....NOT! Failed to join game.
Maybe try another character. Maybe do a meph run in hell with my sorc? Piece of cake, do pindle as well. Exit game. Wait a few seconds. New game....NOT! Failed to join game.
Try another char....NOT! All chars are now "Failed to join game".
This is not funny anymore. Did I mention all games you enter are laggy as hell...
Just had to let off steam...

What kind of connection are you running off of? Maybe check with you ISP...

100mbit broadband.

there's plenty of places with 100mbit connections in sweden, even my sis lives at one of those places (and has it)
The lagg today is mostly because of server strain, not players connections.

Tough luck dude. Yesterday, was trying to finish a rush with some people in op diabloii.net on East and I got the following problems: D2 crashed on me, several C/I's in the same game and massive lag.
On topic, yeah it is annoying.
i lost my connection while gathering organs and lost a keyset...we all have similar problems
Server strain? This has got to be one of the least popular days to play D2 ever.
Play single player if it bugs you that much.

I love lag. I was doing hellforge and got a pul then got "connection interupted" followed by a rollback. Got an Um the second time.
By the way, I heard another player say that the lag is because of so many people are duping. And the duping process involves screwing up the server so it lags. Is that true? That's so f-ing selfish! Ruining and spoiling the whole way of trading, and all the items worth, just so you can get godly in a few hours... making normal mf-ing nearly impossible for everyone else because of the lagging...
i can run 5 or so mf games before my hammerdin can't connect anymore. Then i have to wait an hour or so to connect again. Annoying. yea.

Yeh, the lag is unbearable. I was getting a NM rush last night, which normally would be a very easy task, but took over an hour due lag and two C/I's.

I'm so glad I stopped playing when I did. I had pretty bad lag when I was last playing, but nothing on the magnitude of what you guys are talking about. :happy:

Why your account/cd-key has been closed/banned?
(1) Advertising an inappropriate website
Inappropriate websites may include sites that promote or provide game hacks, programs with embedded virus code, pornography, or other destructive or intrusive materials that are not appropriate on Battle.net.
(2) Spamming in a channel
Please be advised thatBlizzardEntertainment has an aggressive stance against any account that is used to spam a Battle.net chat channel. Spamming a Battle.net channel disrupts the normal flow of dialogue in the chat room and violates the Battle.net Terms ofUse Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.
(3) Attempting to obtain passwords
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment has an aggressive, zero-tolerance stance against any account being used by someone to obtain or steal passwords or to con or trick users into giving out their passwords on Battle.net. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.
(4) Attempting to obtain CD-Keys
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment has an aggressive, zero-tolerance stance against any account being used by someone to obtain or steal CD-Keys or to con or trick users into giving out their CD-Keys on Battle.net. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.
(5) Harassment of other users
Please be advised that Blizzard Entertainment does not support or condone the use of any account to harass or threaten other users on Battle.net. This offense violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game. Harassment may result in the closure of the account or even the temporary or permanent banning of the associated CD-Key.
(6) Inappropriate use of a bot

Apparently you have to literally report the screen name. I was logged into battle.net forums, that's how I got banned.

Because about 2? or so weeks ago this one guy went thru a barrage of insults to me. I reported him both for hacks (which he admited he used) and the rest and nothing got done. I still listen to him yakkin away in message (yes he was "nice" enough to add me to his buddy list <gag!!>) to his friends all the time. So I figured bnet just didnt care much about it and, these days, I simply squelch him when he logs on.
<edit to ask: Mind if I ask you to pm me your char's name?? cause I must admit I'm rather curious about that>
If they were really nice they'd let you rename the account instead of just deleting it.
