Is it worth it to invest 3 skill pts to get this vine?
Is it really only 6% mana regeneration? Or does this work differently?
I would love to have to not use Insight merc for my Windy.

You'd be better off with an insight merc and health regen vine.

Or actually, drinking a blue potion once in a while is know to regenerate mana really well.
Seriously, you've got no reasons to max this vine as long as you've got that never ending supply of mana potions called killable monsters. You're better off using either Poison Creeper for damage or (the other one that regenerates life, which name looses me for the moment).
If mana is such a big issue, get a couple of charms with +mana, perhaps frostburn and SoJs. Silkweave is also a cheap option.
Lidless Wall gives +6 mana after each kill, which helps, if only litlle. Aldurs boots give 10% damage taken goes to mana, and there is this belt (dont' remember name right now) which gives 50% aswell. These are really a great help. The belt is Nightsmoke and should be easy to find and has 10% resist all. Aldurs boots have fire resistnace +50% and they basically rock because of +40 life and 40% R/W aswell.
What items are you currently using and how "well off" are you and what is your exact build an playstyle?
It's not worth the points. At the moment, it's not even worth the pixel/code/concept/effort used.

Thanks for the suggestions. Still in process of leveling my Windy. Mana is a BIG problem at lvl 25 but maybe later it will be OK.
I guess that mana vine is useless. Maybe I'll try the Health one.
Nah, you won't need either of them. Mana can be easily solved by using saphire gear (gems that give +mana) and mana pots. Find yourself some socketed armor and put some perfect saphires in them. You'll find yourself with a good enough pool.
Also, mana charms are fairly abundant and low lvl. A few mana gcs will make it a lot easier to level.

That is true, low level casters often struggle with mana. Stay on top of things with pots and perhaps use a big polearm if you're completely busted out of mana and look forward to become a great wind druid with no wasted skill opints.
for low levels casters i use a 6socket crystal sword filled with tir r00nz for a +12 to mana after each kill. a mana potion gulp now and then id good. at lvl 25 when spirit is available with insane mana bonus and lvl 27 for insight stick. and you are set for all the rest of the game.
yet at highter levels my SP windy barelly needs mana potions. merc use reaper's for good tornado damage

I see that a lot of people are using Reapers for their mercs. Does anyone use an Act 1 merc??

yup i do...i gave her Ice hydra bow for the holy freeze aura
i'm fury/rabies btw
I think Stealth (Tal + Eth) offers some mana regeneration, is cheap and available at lower levels. Basically it's a great armor, which features faster run/walk, FCR and stuff. It's cheap atleast.
