Are you getting married or just a girlfriend?

If you are getting married, did you get a pre-nup?

I can't help forming the posse, as you might remember, I'm preoccupied in those terms.

So, in what sense are you no longer available? How serious, how institutionalised? Spill the beans already, you ol' Ebenezer Scrooge!

Congratulations are in order, nevertheless.

Stop lying, Dondrei, you don't really hate marriage. If you do, I demand you divorce your wife immediately.

Marriage is terrible. If I didn't love my wife so much I'd end it in a snap, I can tell you.

I didn't know you were engaged. Why did you pick 3 days before Christmas?

If you go for a red theme then it really saves on flowers if you use those red plants they always have in churches at christmas.

Another gratz is certainly in order! If you come to Portland I'll buy the beer and cook the steak to celebrate.

We celebrated our 9th last night by going out to eat with the demons we call children. It was a very lame anniversary, but neither of us is big on extravagant celebrations.

It's hard work and rewarding work.

Bah! We've been living together for two years. All the ceremony did was make it official.

Oh, and Merick, we picked the 22nd because I get a week off at Christmas anyway, and if we leave a week before, I can be gone for the latter half December for the low. low price of one week's vacation. =)

I've done stupider things for beer.

And congrats Saro. Best of luck with that whole "maturity" thing.

No, it's not an open invitation. You actually have to value your spouse above asinine comments to get on the invitation list.

So are you off on a honeymoon right now? Or is it over already?

About 10k. Her parents went in for 5k of it, though. =)

We had a couple days in a cottage at the local "resort". We got bored pretty quick, though.

And as for gifts, we had a good haul (well over $1k in cash and cards alone). I was hoping to get at least one toaster, but it never materialized.

My wife and I did something similar, we rented a place at a nice bed & breakfast in the Dandenongs, that was nice.
