mf with a summoner

I have a mf summoner and have one question.
If I summon my skeletons with hoto and homun and then switch to mf gear, like gull and rhyme, they get the mf from gull and rhyme? Or I have to summon them with mf gear?

All your minions + merc will get all your mf. But only when it's on you ;P
So you can summon them with the other gear and then switch to mf gear.. But i think all the minions you get from the other gear will die when you switch?

Basewolf is correct. The upped stats on the summons will remain, however the total number of summons will be reduced to whatever level you are at with the mf gear on.
