what kind of bear should i make.. fuzzyzon + bearbarb or ol fashion mauler

ive been debating this for lil bit now because of the amount of fun these would be given right gear and stats + skill.

Currently i am debating a Fuzzy Zon...


with her passive skills ( dodge evade penetrate and what not ) u would have a pretty decent avasive bear... wich would be funny....

But the the barb..... shout, axe mastery, bo, natural res, FRW, iron skin, all that..... u can have a extremely tankable bear barb... im guessin ez 5-6k life

and since ill be using Beastz..... ill have a fanta aura.... and my armour of choice for ever kind of bear i decide to make... will be the 160/60 sup ap ive aquired..... yes i am sacrifing that extra def and lil bit more ed from fort, but dont those bears lack that ias? ne constructive thoughts are usefull

personaly I'd go bear sorc or sin. Sorc for syng elemental attacks, and sin for 2 frame attack.

For me i would go with a Palabear/Weretemplar with emphasis on max physical damage/defense. Zerounit has a guide for this IIRC. However i would attack @ 5fpa instead of 4 (palabear = 60ias on pb for 4fpa) but use grief pb and i think it would make an awesome PvM build ^^ A double dream shockbear also sounds fun ^^

I actually have a fully built fuzzy zon with about as high end gear as I can afford, and although shes been one of my favorite duelers to date, I think a pala bear would actually be more effective in killing. It really depends where youre coming from.

I dueled a friends pala bear with my zon and the only way I could win was to use inner sight. The big difference between the two is simple, high defense, or high chance to dodge.

With the paladin, when you dodge, you dont need an animation (which with the zon the dodges will interrupt your attack, making you hit slightly less). The damage will be overall better. It will be much easier to achieve max block, res, etc... If there are more difficult classes, you also may unshift and use things such as charge. The big key to palabear is defense though.

With the zon, you will be able to dodge just about anything adding slightly more protection vs casters and vs bow zons who use guided arrow. It is a bit more impressive to see a zon tank 20 direct whirlwinds, and still be fresh as a daisy. And as far as gear goes its a little cheaper.


For some stats as far as the zon, my zon hits 5.4k life, max bock, and dr(if I switch out helms I can hit max res). Using griz caddy I do something like 450-650 damage, with a fortitude on it goes up to around 800-1000.

But most of all its based on your preference. I personally enjoy the surprise barbs express when they duel me.

hey thanks for the feed back...... i would totatly go for a pala bear, but unfourtunatly unless i sell my barb, i wouldnt even be able to afford a decent torch and pcombs and ar/max/lifers all at once......

not sure about gloves...... mazybe up'd bloodfists or my 51ed rends
shield SS ber'd probly or 40/15ias
Dungo's w/ 15dr/30+
maybe highlords or catseye? not sure....maybe angelic set up
rings..... maybe angelic set up or a bk and Rfrost
ne feed back on that would be usefull

So...Noob question here. Wolfhowl makes you into a wolf...right? Whats with the Bear talk?

Another thing I don't understand fully: Beast makes you into a bear...but is pretty limited in terms of attacks. If you are a pally or barb, can u use things like zeal or berserk while shifted? Or even better whirlwind? Or if a Sin, you can use 2fpa kicks?

Is the idea to use beast to shift and then weapon switch to greif or gris caddy?

can only use normal attack or the attack the item gives you sadly..so no kicking or ww or zeal or berserk in the other forms
