Error: You were disconnected from battle.net

Hi, I just decided to start playing Diablo 2 again after about a 2 year break. I installed the game and everything runs smoothly until I try to connect to battle.net. As soon at it connects I get a message that says "You were disconnected from battle.net. Please reconnect". I cant seem to find the sorce of the problem, I've reinstalled the game, even going so far as to use different game cds and cd key. Ive checked the BnetLog.txt file which is empty. Ive made sure windows firewall is allowing diablo 2 to be played. I can't seem to find the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I'm connecting to the internet through a router. I dont really know if that has any bearing or not.

welcome to the forums, do you have the latest patch for d2, 1.11b?
and make sure you router is set to foreward the correct ports to your computer

find your router then click on diabloii

It's because bnet is full of duped runes and stuff..just don't use bnet, it's full of no0b h4krz.
