Hi guys I'm level 90 smiter with the follow equips

Ber'd shako
971 def AP chains of honor
grief pb
45 res 1610 def exile vortex
dual ravenfrosts
saracens' chance
verdungoes
dracul's grasp

i have 80 80 75 75 resists in hell, my friend's blizz sorc does 28k blizz...Im wondering how I can survive that.

I have level 11 Bo on CTA with the + skills.. i think after BO I have around 2500 life. Any tips on how to survive his blizzard?
Thanks

Sorry, the last time I checked, 28k Blizzard was impossible.

That's some dandy Blizz damage...

Anywho, a couple ways to lessen cold damage on you would be to :

Stack cold resists to counter his mastery, and minus to resists from equip. If you are still itching for resists - thawing potions - are a way to help, albeit considered BM by some.

+To maximum resists through equipment (once you are sufficiently stacked), combined with your ravens, is also a practical approach.

Additionally, another thing would be to increase your life - that seems unreasonably low for competitive PvP.

Obviously, your best bet is to practice evading/desynching... If he doesn't hit you, no need to worry. Play smart, damage output isn't everything.

Your friend must not be ES and (although I doubt it's actually 28k) is probobly built for mass damage. Just charge and kill.

Indeed 28k is massly impossible.
I'm also trying to figure out how you only have 2.5k life... I have more than that without bo. That's a 1 blizz pk. Get more life and res obviously

Ran a skillcalc - highest I could get blizz to is 18k. I call shenanigans.

4x psaphire in a paladin shield.

Perhaps he meant 28k with -100res. Anyway, your best bet would be to get +max res, stack over 400 Cold res, and desync.

Then that'd be 36k.

28k @ -100% res means 14k normally.

He just mixed up the 1 and 2, probably.

At OP; your life is really low indeed. Get some dual Thul Griswold helmet. 4 Sock 40+ Res Psapphire Vortex (even though I dislike the smite damage on it), some mara's (you need +skills/res), TO gloves, Snowclash etc.

Even possibilities to stack. Make sure you don't nullify his damage though. That's a bit lame.

It is low. Most smiter are able to reach 4-5k life.

I wouldn't say "most". I'd say "The ones that can afford ridiculously expensive charms with life".

3k-3.5k is a pretty good area to shoot for, pre-charms.

According to my friends, 20 life sc's are running a HR each. Yep, damned cheap.

if you cant afford plain 20L scs then go pvm until you can ecumulate enough wealth to pvp

So if you can't afford to blow a good 30 HR's just on plain life sc's, bugger off? Please. I do fine with work-in-progress chars while I'm working on upgrading charms.

lol plain scs well anyway ive never known for a skiller to outcost a plain sc...

Plus in pvp u only build a char if u have the atleast the minimum expense to make it feasible, if u can't afford things like charms etc or the bare minimum there is no real point..

well, if you cant afford some basic plain 20L small charms your gonna have problems equiping your character with a decent basic setup in order to take that character pvping. to put into context your opponent wont have a problem accumulating at minimum 37 plain 20 L scs as most ppl view them as an easily traded commodity.
so its simple, if you cant get 37 plain 20s go kill meph until you can compete at least life wise with an opponent in my view.
obviously your a great pvper if you can do fine dueling against opponents with better life than yourself. maybe you could post a guide or something.
oh and bugger off? dont really understand this, i dont recall game restrictions based on wealth, do what you like.
