My 3 SOJs are gone!

Yesterday I traded in 4 sojs, 3 of them were of the same image. When I was trading, I checked if they were legit by asking the other players to move them around the screen. Today, when I login, I find that these 3 sojs with the same look are gone! Is that a bug? How to prevent this from happening again?

well, they were probably not "legit" most SOJs are duped and thus bound to *poof* sooner or later. Being able to move them in his trade window only proved they were not just illusions.

Then how can I prevent trading in duped sojs? Or is there no method to avoid this from happening?

Unfortunately there really isn't any good ways to prevent it from happening.

Trading in these forums tends to be slightly safer as people are more often honest here, but just because the one you trades with is honest doesn't mean the SOJ is still a dupe and he haven't noticed it yet...

Getting a legit SOJ is pretty much about finding it yourself. However it might be possible to buy a "selffound SOJ" with some luck from someone you trust, but remember that trust should never be given easily over the anonymeous net (people do lie about such things) and most ppl having selffound SOJs tend to be rather keen on keeping them as they won't get what they're really worth selling them.

I don't get the ratios, you've made it so it's harder to find a soj in hell then nightmare...

And I have 3 legit sojs and 2 legit bks, I never trade for them.

That's because in hell, other rings have a chance of dropping, which lowers the chance of a SoJ dropping. It does, however, mean that you can get other rings like Wisp, BK, and Nature's Peace.

they could be legits, there are thousands of people playing on bnet, odds are that hundreds could be found a day

they could have been trading for them, hoping that they dont poof
waiting for enough to spawn dclone on demand
get enough poeple on one server (different games), join with soj mule, sell til he spawns
1 ani from each game could make a small group of people rich if annis are anywhere near 20/20/10's

If you are talking about NL, they could be from the dupefest back in the 09 days. Ruststorm did not wipe them all out. I can't say for a fact if they are 'permed' or not but they have survived till .11 without poofage.

Additionally, this game has been out a long time, it is entirely possible someone was able to farm 20+ SoJs.

its on ladder, and i can understand that maby they found them... or whatever but that just dosent sit so well with me. i dont really think i can say why here.

EDIT: although, if someone farmed the major bosses for like.... say.. over a period of a few months... and played 100 hours... and downed meph and andy over and over every 10 min... whats the % chance of a drop of an soj actually happening? (this has nothing to do with the above non edit, actually)

EDIT2: i calculated up 1000 runs total... with a drop of... 0.023 or something each i think i read here somewhere?

ive had a soj on my hdin for the past month now and hes an mfer (about 30 games a night, no perming) and it hasnt gone poof yet, I found a soj once but sold it promplty after on this forum, and my very first one i traded somethign for, than accidently sold it to akara while getting pots >_<
