Wido Maker Sockting?

I wonder about what to socket my Wido with...

Here are some info about my build:

lvl 97 Barb
Highlords
Dracul's (I think its BM... could curse with them)

I'm planning to get 90 - 120 max damage in charms but since wido already has 33 DS i dont know if Lo is a good idea...

ias?.. Would i reach another brake point if i socket it with shael or a jewel?

Open Wounds?.. How much damage is OW on ranged as lvl 97?

I want to take down hammerdins and sorc primary, if its an ES sorc then i should use Um i think but, do you have any good ideas? I would be greatful!

There are a few options:
Hel if you are playing a BvC
Um if you are playing a BvB or a BvA and have very high dexterity

An IAS jewel is useless as you reach the whatever breakpoint with Highlord's + Arreat's already.

Lo is useless since the both does very little damage

If you already have enough dex i'd go with um, ow kicks *** at your level and . You can also consider sheal if it's gonna help you reach an important bp depending on the rest of ur gear. Just remember ow >>> physical damage. having 25% chance to ow is like having more than 600 displayed physical damage at your level.

Yes OW is powerful, i just think its 1/2 when its ranged right?

and dose any1 know how much it actualy is?

Damage per frame:
Clvl=1-15: ((9*Clvl+31)/256)) * Modifier
Clvl=16-30: ((18*Clvl-104)/256) * Modifier
Clvl=31-45: ((27*Clvl-374)/256) * Modifier
Clvl=46-60: ((36*Clvl-779)/256) * Modifier
Clvl=61-99: ((45*Clvl-1319)/256) * Modifier

Modifier:
Triggers on a Player with attacker using a Melee Attack: 0.25
Triggers on a Player with attacker using Ranged Attack: 0.125
Triggers on a Boss Monster with attacker using Ranged or Melee: 0.5
Trigger on Other Targets with attacker using Ranged or Melee: 1

Open Wounds has a duration of 200 Frames (8 Seconds) and will reset the timer if reapplied. It's not actual damage but a Negative Life Regenration.

E.g:

Lvl80 Char using melee attack on a normal monster (Other Target)
Clvl=61-99: ((45*Clvl-1319)/256) * Modifier
= ((45*80-1319)/256) * 1
= ((3600-1319)/256)
= (2281/256) * 1
= 8.91015625 * 1
= 8.91015625 Damage per Frame.

For Damage per second, do (Damage per frame * 25)

8.91015625 * 25
= 222.75390625 Damage per second.

Edit: If you don't what the heck is going on here. Just look at the top part. Insert your char lvl and you'll get the damage output.

Thanks man... i saw these fomulars on arreats summit but i dident add the modifiers... so another player will bleed 595 in melee and 297 on ranged. thanks a lot!

i'll second the nef idea. seriously the best thing to shove in it for pvp. if you have KB somewhere else, an Um.

i got around the dex req on my ww-sin by using a cats-eye and a 15dex fcr ring whenever i pull the 'bow out.
