u kno how most wwsin use shadow gcs and not psn scs due to the vemon thing...i was wonderin' if it might be better to go with all psn scs and just not do vemon in all...? what u all think

I think it's not a viable option as your damage output will be lower and the psn dura is much longer which is bad.

a lvl 20 vemon does <something dmg per 0.4 secs>
over 10 secs this works out to be ~ 10k iirc

as you can see this is alot and thats just for lvl 20,
add trangs, bramble, skills, facets
and you get alot alot alot over 10 secs

now then for my basic comparison, your scs would add up to
37*100 = 3700 dmg over 10 secs which to me makes it look like the scs lose :shocked:

personally id prefer to have the ability to rip thro a palas life with a huge amount of poison then to have 2 run away...

Might be viable. IIRC poison scs aren't affected by the pvp penalty at all, you could rack up some nice poison damage, albiet this is gonna get pricey. I know for a fact some BvB's do this.

What do u mean theyr not affected by the pvp penalty...? Any damage that you do to another player will be cut by a percentage due to the pvp penalty, and of course resistances...

Definately venom. It hits really hard, and for a duration of .8 seconds. So its like an instant hit. No need to wait around for 10 seconds to slowly kill ur enemy. Plus i believe venom can kill, while poison will only take a players life to 1.

Also, ww is a fast hitting attack. So everytime u hit with poison scs, then the poison timer will reset itself and start all over again. If u hit 3 times in a second, then the poison will work for .3 seconds the first hit, .3 seconds the second hit and then for the full 10 seconds after the third hit. So u see, the first 2 hits wont do squat, because the next hit will reset the poison timer only .3 seconds after the poison started, so ur not gettin in any damage.

Psn go through a hell pvp penalty where the length is increased by 1/2 so a venom at 0.4 does now does dmg over 0.8 secs doubling the dmg same for charms.

no psn scs are crap the dmg output is too slow and chancese are the player would have retreated to town or killed u by the time the psn lenght is fully done.

Besides, aren't the venom damage and the supportive sources of poison damage as charms, item mods and etc. rounded togheter by accumulative formula? Something like the poison dagger skill? :scratch:

ONLY 10 seconds? Have you ever stood there for 10 seconds taking bone spears or guided arrows or anything that hits you? If you can then kudos to you and go with scs.

yuh, a 'sin is the one class that should NEVER even contemplate pdsc's. venom is so fast, pdsc's can't hope to compete.

im probably slightly off on some of these calculations since i havent checked exactially how psn scs damage is applied, but i think my flawed results will prove my point anyway....

37 x 100psn dmg scs = 3700 over 5sec = 7400 dmg over 10sec (double duration in hell)

bramble + max venom + trang + 9shadow gcs = about 4500 over .4 sec = 9000 over .8 sec (with double duration in hell)

say you achieve 1hit per second... over 5 seconds.....

venom = 45000 dmg (even more damage would be achieved if say 2hits were landed every second = 67500)

psn scs = 3700 dmg (same no matter how many hits are landed within the 5 sec)

i wonder which i would use for pvp....lol.

Idk bout you, but I haven't seen venom get to 4500. The most I got was a lvl 48 venom with 49% bramble and trangs, and I wasn;t even close to 3k, so 4.5 k is kinda impossible.
