Here is the guide that I read. (http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/diablo_ii_lod_110_meteorb_sorc.txt) It suggest that I should max orb & meteor (obviously), fireball, and fire mastery and that I put my remaining points into cold mastery (thats about all 110 if you include prereqs). I wasn't sure if the person who wrote the guide knew what he was talking about so I wanted some more opinions.

It also said I will only need a base energy of 75. Does all this sound good to all of you?

It also said I will only need a base energy of 75. Does all this sound good to all of you?No, I prefer a base energy of 35 (ie. no points into energy) and just use insight. Anyways, the general skill point placement is sound. However, you should pull a few points away from fire mastery and add it to fire bolt. Since synergy bonus + mastery bonus are multiplicative, this produces slightly better results. Exactly how many points can be figured out by either the use of calculus or a skill calculator.

Might it be worth it to put more points into energy, but also add about 6 points to tk & energy shield?

Don't bother with ES, since you are pressed for points on a meteorb already.
