Mf Sorc Idea/Question

I am just about to make my mf sorc, and i have some decent gear to go with. I was wondering, instead of going with the meteorb build, is it possible to use frozen orb/firewall? I was just thinking this because firewall has no synergies and still gets some decent damage, which would leave more skill points open to customise the rest of the build.
Has anyone tried this? Let me know what you think.

I can't remember the build, but look up the strategies page. Firewall was a major skill back in 1.09.

Don't. Firewall is a far slower killer then fb and meteor. Also really hard to aim well, might work for moat trick but really bad for most other things. It's a tri-elementalists choise, not a two-elementalists, you've got skillpoints enught for getting better spells.
