View Full Version : I need Smiter vs WW Barb Advice

I'm a big fan of the Smiter, and I've always liked them because of their ability to tank, but there was always the WW Barb that got in the way.

I've tried to face many in the past, but they usually used WW back and forth making me hit them rarely. I've been told from some to just stand in place and shift + smite, but I tested this against my friend while has standing still and it didn't work. I was forced to click on him to hit him. If I'm forced to click, that means I'll be left chasing the WW Barb in duels.

Well, against most pub barbs you can just get away with shift smiting. Hold down shift, and click and hold on the barb. Your pally will be constantly swinging, so if he decides to WW through you, he'll probably die lol. Against better people this doesn't really work, but it's the basic idea how to kill random WW barbs.

And what would better WW Barbs do? I don't see any other ways Barbs duel other than raw power that overpowers you.

Grief, Exile, Enigma, max %pdr, cleglaws and 1pt. Holy Freeze. Turn on holy freeze, then when the barb gets blue, tele into his ww path and smite him. Rinse and repeat.

And what would better WW Barbs do?

Better WWbarbs will clip and/or slow you and do massive damage with duel wield. A barb with good WW control will murder a shift smiter.

luder's technique will work pretty well.

telesmiting means you have 75%block and your defense available.
dont try to hit the barb by charge namelocking him or so.

And u Ed know that it doesnt work that good vs a barb with brain :P And the only paladin that ive ever seen whos able to beat a wwbarb with charging into ww range is Karol (note that hes damn skilled with smiter so dont expect to be that good with a smiter after like a month or so)... Easier tactic is simply telesmiting yet again you need to train alot to be effective with it...

Read it twice please, as I mentioned TELE also known as TELEPORT, which isn't charging. Further it doesn't take much skill using telesmite vs. barbs. Come online I'll show you ^)^

his ww speed wont be affected by the slow of holy freeze but he will stay longer in the range of your smites and a tankout should go out in the favor of the smiter i guess.

Well I've meet 2 barbs, that can win vs. me in continues duels. My blatant friend Morotsjos and The Friendly French Frog. I would love to duel you, but I am on a wireless 512 connection, so doing inter-realms duels, will more or less, make me a free kill.

Ok so if I want to become a Telesmiter, what gear should I wear? I want faster cast rate, but I also don't really want to sacrifice too much crushing blow.

MikeBecause Camden never rewrote it with no duped gear selections. but still one should be able to figure out good lejit substitutes.the guyide is awesome no matter the gear legitness tho.
