View Full Version : Diablo Walks The Earth
Man I was doing my regular round of solo cs runs in HCCL Uswest when I see SOJS being sold. I stop csing and head to act one, 5 minutes into it, the screen shakes and bam Diablo Walks the Earth. Keep in mind I've never seen DCLONE before so this is freaking exciting as hell for me, I head to Den of Evil and find DCLONE waiting, I charge in and he rains down his hellstorm it looks damn impressive. After 3 minutes he goes down to my mighty Hammers har har! Then I go back to csing and kill Diablo for a 2nd time that game, what an accomplishment, been playing since D2 launched and this is my FIRST dclone event :laugh:

So I gather from the OP that he spawns in Den of Evil?? So I go to act1, run around blood moor, and....there is no Den of Evil. I uncovered every inch of the entire Blood Moor, no Den of Evil, only a Cave, the one you find in Cold Plains. Checked this cave, nothing inside, I even went so far as to search entire Cold Plains...
I am scared to leave the game because this is first time this event has occurred for me, but this is also the first time I got a game w/o a Den of Evil. I am totally stumped as to what to do right now.

Ok...so I just found him at Bishibosh....and yea hes mad strong lol. Lvl 84 hammerdin, maxed resist, vs DClone, i scouted him out but haven't fought yet. Ill update ya on what happends. Engaging Dclone now!

Jeesus....I can barely get his life below the 'O' in Diablo before I gotta go to town to refill on pots, then he just regens much of it back....

To clarify:
DC spawns in place of whichever super unique you visit after he pops. In the den this is corpsefire, but you got it at bishi.
I believe that technically it has to be an unspawned super unique, so if you ran past one and went back to it after the spawn I don't *BELIEVE* he'll spawn there, but I could be wrong as I don't generally leave them things standing in hell games >.>

Well here's what happened...
So for a good hour, I continually ran to town to re-pot and get back out there asap so he doesn't regen too fast. After a while and a few close calls, the ping in the game started to rise and it started to become increasingly dangerous. So I was man...forget this. I stayed in game, got some food, hoping maybe some of my friends will log on to help by then. When I got back, the game closed.
I guess it was all for the better, it was pretty much impossible. They made Dclone to be hard in xpac....which translates to stupid hard in classic.

You realize I'm talkin about D clone spawnin in classic not xpac right. If only I had some gear with "prevent monster heal" on me at the time.

PMH doesn't do a lot on DC.
Goblin Toes and some CB mace and 1 point in smite and I don't think he'd be too bad on classic if I'm not forgetting some crazy mechanic. Course I don't remember if a 1h mace with CB exists in classic.
crushflange unique mace iirc, too bad hardly anyone keeps it and it is slow.
also everyone has a swordback, has some nice OW

One spawned for me a couple days ago, and after Spade and I wasted it, I IDed a 20/19/9 that's resting in my paladin's happy inventory. Now for a ptorch..

Lookin back on it, I think I coulda got him if I had my +2 skills, +3 Bh, +3 concentration scepter with me at the time. Too bad it was a hell game and could not transfer it over. Hands down, Dclone in D2classic is the toughest thing I've ever come across. Sucks I couldn't get him :(
D2Clone in Classic wasn't hard if you got 75/75/75/75 and good damage output. Mine was 10k at the time I fought him, only had to use about 8 superhealing pots, no rejuvs, only few super mana pots and that was it. I figured Id use more seeing how much health and damage he put out, but I took him down with hammers pretty easily.

Very simple explanation about that. If the game maker has already done the Den quest, the place shows up as Cave. Of course, you don't notice that usually, since it's not a place that you go back to after you've done it. The Cave you saw in the moor was the Den of Evil.
actually when I did Den of Evil Dclone, I had Den of Evil quest completed. It was just the first place I visited since Diablo walked the earth with a Unique, Corspefire. So I knew he'd spawn there.

Ahh I see. Yea, it's funny you say that because you're right, I have never gone back there after completing quest after all these years. I thought I was the first in history to witness this no Den game lol. :shocked:
