laying/ghoulhide are much better in 95% of the cases... that's the point

Ok, I gues I'm an idiot but how can either of those gloves compair to the ED% you get from Steelrends?

because laying gives 350% ed vs demons, ghoulhide gives around 150% ed vs undead, and most monsters are either undead or demon.

Steelrends gives, at best, 60% ed vs all monsters. Much less than laying or ghoulhide against their specific monster type. A 60% increase in damage is barely noticable (note this is off-weapon ed). 150% is already clear, and 350% is quite visible.

Wow, I just read this thread. Good stuff. Most folks seem to agree if your using Dual BOTD then Steelrends is the answer.

Agreed. Another problem with steelrends is that they require a ridiculously high amount of strength to equip; as sir stated, you're at best getting +60% of your base weapon damage, but losing several hundred HP.

OK, I got that, well at this point and time I'm a level 69 so Stre Req is not an issue. I'm currently using Imm King Gloves and Boots combo but looking to upgrade at gloves, I have Gores ready to be used for boots. OBTW, I'm playing in HC.

Steelrends are viable if you use eni+arreat+storm.
