Havent played, cant make new acct

ok, so ive logged 2000+ hrs on D2 before 1.09, always been anti wow, and finished oblivion, counterstrike isnt my thing really.....

i have Lod 1.11 installed, and can play single player, when i try to get on bnet it will either "connecting to fastest server" and never connect **(ive let it sit for hours), or i can get to login, and it tells me my acct is gone as i havent played for 90 days.. then i am prompted to create new acct. as i click on "create new acct" it instantly says "disconnected from battle net, please reconnect" and thats where im stuck.... i have a fresh copy of windows and almost no software on the system, running sp2 and have all security updates, running DHCP on my broadband router not wireless?

anyone have any ideas/explincations?

Most likely you'll need to open some ports on your router, and also modify your WinXP SP2 firewall settings for D2.

The former can be done by going to http://www.portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/DiabloII/DiabloIIindex.htm and selecting your router.

The latter can be done by going to http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=msi0549p and following the steps.

ok, well i went through the router setup, and added ports 4000, 6112, and 6113-6119, also went through windows firewall and added all of those ports, still experiencing the same problem.... i dont get it:embarassed:

got it to work, just needed to reboot the router
