Couldn't find a thread on this and I've been wondering; are assassins the only class that need to worry about durability on boots? I've been considering trying to find an eth version of my boots for extra def. but I want to be sure they wont degrade. Thanks in advance :P

Durability on boots will degrade on all classes when worn.

i think hes talking about kicking.... kicking does not lower dura. on boots. all classes have the same durability lower, although boots are slower than most other parts of armor.

According to this page (http://www.diabloii.net/faq/d2x-ufaq2.shtml), the distribution of durability loss goes like this:
Armor: 23.1%
Shield: 23.1%
Helm: 15.4%
Gloves: 15.4%
Belt: 11.5%
Boots: 11.5%

its kinda weird though, because when i use smite my weapon durability goes down instead of the shield one. is that normal?

I remember hearing before that blocking does NOT lower shield durability.

I remember hearing before that blocking does NOT lower shield durability.Mmh, it doesn't really make sense, but why not after all  ? Anyone can confirm this or give a link ?

Confirmed. Same counts for ranged attacks.
