View Full Version : Kilmins V Turnips Challenge

Barbarian, level 35 (or lower)
No Titles (cannot have the Normal Baal Quest)
No Charms (5 spears will be traded between chars to make sure their inventory is empty)
No Jewels
Runes and Runewords are acceptable.
No Gear in the Stash can be used, IE no Pre-Buffs
No Mercs.
One belt-load of any type of potions is allowed.
The duel will be fought in the Blood Moor in normal difficulty. It will be fought to the death. Running to town will be considered an act of complete cowardice, and you will be ridiculed beyond belief. Just stay and die. The character is worthless for anything else anyway.
No spying i.e having a heads-up on what the other person you're going to be dueling is. That is all GL and HF

P.S. Are you guys saying that slow and stuff are okay for their fight? Just wondering
I'd like to know too about slow target. I wish they'd made it lvl33...it'd take away a lot of the 1 hit KO items.

no slow but rules are already made it's 35-35 bvb and it'l prob be mostly luck. We didn't think of the builds at the time.

Eliminate luck and make it 32-33! If not whatever, rules are rules.

Rules are rules we had 3 people determine what the rules were so it was fair for everybody. Stays level 35
i dont think it will be much luck at all.
If two people have identical builds, as long as its not 1 hitters (and no matter what happens there won't be a 1 hitter here) dueling technique and skill will definately be a factor.

azazaz with no charms there are weps that will one hit a level 35 barb unless he's max vit/bo for his level..., some of the norm weps have crazy damage ranges at that level

azazaz with no charms there are weps that will one hit a level 35 barb unless he's max vit/bo for his level..., some of the norm weps have crazy damage ranges at that level
sorry, with no charms if you are a 35 barb fighting another 35 barb and you are 1-hit ko'd then you clearly have built an inferior dueler and don't deserve to win the duel anyways.

Seriously though, there will likely be people in the town, I think however once the duels (this one and any other from Treb's hc dueling thread) begins, the only two people in the moor should be those participating in the duel.
I for one could use a lvl 1 and tilt the favour either way by placing myself appropriately which is something that should be avoided either intentionally or inadvertently (sp?).

I agree with Azazaz...nobody following us, minimal chat. I can tape it with screen capture if people really want...although I doubt I can figure it out since I'm a computer noob.

I was gonna say someone running Fraps to record it all would be awesome, but I agree with Azazaz that there shouldn't be anyone else in the moor since it will increase the chances for excuses "so and so got in my way, the fight was unfair!", etc.
So it would have to be one of the Duelers that was recording the fight, and in my experience with programs that record Diablo 2 they kill the FPS and slow the game down something awful. Does anyone know of one that doesn't?

Well, some final words before this starts. NO matter what happens, win or lose. There will be no *****ing or crying from me. A lose to turnips will be a respected loss.. NO matter how much trash I've talked, I have heard lots about him being a pretty decent dueler, and if he wins he has my respect.

turnips ended up winning the duel with a ww-conc combo after about 2 minutes of sparring.
