mercenary help

sup, im new at this game, where do u buy mercenries ingame and do they hav names? also i got a mercenary cause a party member left the world and i got the merc. how do i look at the level and is there a menu? thanx for help

To start off with, you need to finish the second quest of Act 1, Blood Raven. Then speak to Kashya and she'll give you one.

Greiz in the north of town in Act 2 (near the sewer entrance) will let you hire his mercenaries

Ashaera, off to the left side of Act 3's Kurast Docks will let you hire her Iron Wolf mages.

In Act 5, Qual-Kehk will let you hire his Barbarian buddies when you complete the Save the Barbarians quest, quest 2.

Press 'O' to view the merc's stats and equip them with items.
